Mrs. Griffin was born in Clarkston on February' 2. 1881. a daughter of Emma Godfrey and Joseph Myler, and she had spent her entire life in Clarkston. worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints all her life, having served in various organizations, including membership in the Clarkston ward choir for 25 years. y more than almost anywhere else in the world. Memorial services were con- ducted on Thursday in the Clarkston LDS Ward chapel, under the direction of Bishop Udell Godfrey, and burial was in Clarkston Cemetery. Santa to Visit . Smithfield Santa Claus will make his visit to annual Smithfield on Saturday, December 22. Preceding Santas reception in the armory, a free movie for the children will be shown at 11 a.m. in Smithfields Main Theatre. Mr. Claus will be ready to greet the children, give Christ-mas-gi- ft consultations, and distribute parcels of goodies to his friends at 1 p.m. in the armory. Santa will not, as he has in years past, ride down the street in his horse and buggy.
