Cardon BENSON Leonora Smith has recently returned from a three-wee- k visit with her Wandaughter and da and George Pedersen of Salt son-in-la- w, At LDS sacrament services Sunday Brent Munk was releas- ed from his position as Sunday School teacher; and Dave Byington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Byington, was ordained to the office of Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sea-moare happy grandparents of a boy born December 5 at Logan LDS Hospital. to Linda and Glen Seamons. Of interest to the people of Benson is the birth of a boy recedntly to Carolyn and Lynn Winterton, former residents of this city. The baby joins three sisters at the Winterton new house on a cattle ranch near Roosevelt. Lynn will be remembered in Benson as an employee of Paul Thain. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Riggs have moved from their Benson house to a new condominium in Logan. Their former house is now occupied by Patty and Mike Call and their sons Jeffrey and Chris, formerly of Lake Tahoe, California. The Calls plan to remodel the little house south of the Riggs house, where Pattys parents will live. LDS Primary officers and teachers, with their partners, enjoyed a social evening at the Lofthouse Restaurant of Logan on Wednesday. The program was comprised of Christmas stories vocal 'music by Roberta, Cathy, June and I Am With Jolene; and a film Thee presented by Douglas1 and Daryl. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cardon attended the Utah State soil conservation district convention last week at Salt Lake Citys Ramada Inn. by Faye; The Benson LDS Ward group held a social Saturday evening at the ward cultural hall, where a delicious ts high-pries- supper was served and a program given. The groups leaders are Nolan Ballard, Wendell Munk, Roy Rees and Cash Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ricks and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Munk are to be thanked for their help in making the party a success. by Carolee Beckstead TRENTON-T- he infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darren Hatch was christened in LDS sacrament services Sunday. Her father was spokesman, assisted by grandfathers Don Geisler and Lavor Hatch, and by John Vaterlaus. Also assisting was Douglas Hatch. The girl has been namied Heidi Pearl Hatch. After these services dinner was served by Mrs. Hatch to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Lavor Hatch, Kent Hatch, Blake Hatch and their sons Kent and Blake; Mr. and Mrs'. Don Geisler and their children Jill, Amy and Ryan of Pocatello; andMr. and Mrs. John laus of Preston. Other business at the church meeting was the confirmation of Kerry Bennett, son of Louise Perez. Kerry was confirmed by his uncle, Loren Buttars. Norma Marriott was released from her post as Primary librarian, and she was replaced by Beverly Daley in this assignment. Released from her position as Primary teacher was great-grandfath- er Pauline Spackman. Shirlene Pack was appointed in her stead.
