Show THURSDAY, Lewiston AUG. 16, 1973 - THE CITIZEN - 7 Bride Honored Kitchen Shower By Laree Bodily Dora Boman and her daughter, Vicki, of Layton, were hostesses at a kitchen shower honoring Sandra Gamble' Star- key of Ogden, who was recently married. The party was held at home of Sandras grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gittins. Others attending were Leona G. Christensen, Kathy Hughes, Donna Inglet and Lynn Ann Mitchell, Logan; ODean Me- Cann, Pam Larsen, Marilyn Rich, Smithfield; Ruth and Tamara Gittins, Wellsville; Claudie Larsen, Mendon; Lyn-netGittins, Leslie Gittins, Marsha Saltern, Hyrum; Susan and Ramona Preston; Martha Halford and Sharon McCann, Garland; Joann Marler, Ogden; and Katie Gittins, Lewiston. An open house honoring Sandra and her husband, Larry Starkey, will be held Saturday between 7 and 9 p.m. at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar McCann, 160 West 2nd North in Smithfield. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. No formal invitations are being sent. Regan Wheeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Wheeler, took Janette McKee as his bride Saturday in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception was held in their honor that evening in Holden, Ut. Janettes parents are Mr. and Mrs. Chad A. McKee of Holden. The bride and groom are both 1973 graduates of Utah State University. Regan served as a missionary in the Great Lakes mission. They will make their home in Lewiston. Both the senior and junior mens softball teams of the Lewiston Second ward won second place trophies in the region LDS softball tournament held last week. They attended the Humpherys reunion which was held there. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph V. Baird enjoyed three days of fishing an(j boating last week at Cotton-th- e wood Lake, near Smoot, Wyo. They were accompanied by . several friends rMrs. Robert (Sandra) Bliss and four of her children visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs: Arnold Troseth Monday. The Bliss family resides in Coke-villWyo., where Robert is the superintendent of the county schools. Sun-shi- In The Crows Nest Smithfield Stake Champions in the Womens Young Marrieds softball competition are the Smithfield Third Warders. Undefeated in stake play for the third year in a row, the team won the stake championship, and stake and sportsmanship trophies last season.
