Boys were judged on their craftsmanship in building chairs, tables, etc., and appearance of the camp. A local man who wished to help district troops and further the Schouting movement donated these silver dollars, to be given to the top patrol at camp. However, Mr. Hollingsworth's three patrols were the top three, so this award became a troop award in the final results. Troop 74 were given the plaque in ceremonies at MIA last week in the Seventh Ward Chapel. Jamboree Democrats Plan Announced April Meeting 'AND OUR ( 3000 BUICKS FREEZE-PRIC- E ARE GOING FOR EVEN LESSI Although it's 15 months away,. Scouts in the Cache Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, are looking forward to the 8th National Scout Jamboree to be held in August 1973. For the first time in the history of the Boy Scouts of America, there will be two national jamborees held at Farragut State Park, Idaho, and Moraine State Park, Pa., according to Derrald L. Watkins, Scout Executive. The National Jamboree West will be held August 1973, at the Idaho site which is near Coeur dAlene, and National Jamboree Blast will be held August 1973, at the Pennsylvania location about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh. In preparation for the Cache Valley Councils participation in the national jamborees, Mr. Watkins said that a tentative schedule has been set up to ensure that a representative group will go from this area. Detailed information about the jamborees will be available to troops and their Scouts on June 1, ) Theres no gimmick. A year ago you would have paid the 7 federal excise tax. Today you dont have to. So for aa long as that situation continues, you're aaving anywhere from $200 to $500 on any new Buick. Thats not all. 3,000 of our new Buicks were delivered before the December price increaae. So you could save another $100 to $200 there. For aa long as they last Even that's not all. March inventories are always high. So the trade-i- n you'll get for your car should be better now than in Spring. That could 7, 3-- 9, mean another $100. Are we saying you could save important money if you buy a new Buick now? As clearly as we know how. 1972. PALMER MOTOR CO Phone Mr. Watkins said that the theme for the two jamborees, Growing Together, represents objectives for the jamborees.
