May the seggejl: cn be made that this meeting be culled to order and a procedure followed, with reswet due to the Mayor, the speaker s liouid properthe ly address him before obtaining floor. Those in attendance sflwuld be informed that only one should be speaking at a time and speak when tdiey are spoken to. Decisions, agreements, and solutions to problems could be met and solved quicker if this meeting were carried on in a more suitable and dignified manner. After all, these men are there to represent the taxpaying citizens of 1 Heston, ao how do you want our city government to be conducted? People are in attendance at these meetings for approval and faeb to solve problems, without feelings, to have it Handled in the proper manner by those this be In authority. Please! given more careful thought land consideration? After being throufgh tfic magistrates court and attending city council meeting, I know what the soore U. Wake find ou.t for yourself up! Taxpayers and attend a City Council meeting. Whos got the jelly beans? Ija-Vel- l 483. IHigh 187. THE CITIZEN 23, 1972 DON GREAVES TAXPAYERS- In last weeks Preston Citizen, it so stated that I was protesting the billing for water for my home and beauty shop. ThU was incorrect. It was very plainly stated to the City Council to forgot my home because I was not complaining about that. My home is on a residential rate, same as all residents pay, but I was asking for equalization for tire water for the beiauty ohens, because my beauLy shop rate, not including home, was higher than the shop owners who have their businesses included in their homes, and only receive one water bill for both. Okay- - Fee for residence water is $8.25. Those who have their slhiops in their homes pay $10.25 for both, this allowing $2.00 Water fee for shop use. My water bill for the shop atone is $11.25 plus the $8.25 resident fee for the home, making the difference of $9.25 for a one operator shop. Is this fair? Another error! My beauty shop is not located on the site of my home, as so the paper said. There is a street running between the two places, or can it be called a street? It was my feeling that these men did not understand, but when any article is for print in the paper, taken from minutes of an important meeting, it should be absolutely correct and not partly correct.
