Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dee Hampton of Franklin attended a Prudential Insurance company convention in Vancouver, Canada. They were guests in Boise of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hawkes. They went through Pendleton, Ore., and visited the woolen mills and the rodeo grounds. They spent a nig in Ontario, Ore. They went through the Yakima Valley in Washington and on to Seattle. They spent a night in Everett, Wash. From there they went to Vancouver, Canada, where they spent three days. While they were there, they were celebrating Queen Victorias birthday so they witnessed a parade in her honor. They also toured the city and came home by way of Washington, Montana and northern Idaho. Their children, Alice, Eric and Elliott, spent the week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanton Hawkes and Mr. and 'Mrs. Afcna Hampton of Franklin. Miss Danielle Olsen was hostess at a baby shower in honor of Laura Ware, who Is the former Laura Urie of Franklin, who now lives in Caldwell. Sixteen guests attended the shower which was held at the home of Mrs. Alan Dee Hampton. Games were played ami refreshments were served. Gordon Seamans of Roy spent tile afternoon visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Alan Dee Hampton and family in Franklin. Gordon and Alan are cousins. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jeon Kingsford and family Sunday were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Smith of Iymm, and a brother, Mr. and Mrs. A seel Smith of Smithfield.
