Spear CLEVELAND Mr. and Mrs. Clauson Bennett from Minnesota have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Grant Gray and other relatives in the Preston area. They are former residents of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. Fern Wright visited Sunday afternoon with Grace Harris. Spending the weekend at the Harris home were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harris of Garland. JOHN DONAVAN Maurine Forsgren Becomes Bride Of Logan Man Recently Miss Maurine Forsgren and John W. Donavan exchanged marriage vows on June 26 in a double ring ceremony at Westwood Center. Maurine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Forsgren of Preston. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Clair B. Peterson of Logan, and the late Jack II. Donavan. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were hosts at a wedding breakfast in the Florentine Room of the Bluebird prior to the ceremony. A reception was given that evening. The bride wore a gown of white chiffon with Venetian lace and tiny pearls with a fingertip veil attached to a spray of white satin flowers outlined with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white and talisman roses. Maid of honor was Miss Janice Smith. Bridesmaids were Miss Christine Donavan, e sister of the groom, Miss Roberson and Miss Kathy Howard. Misses Lori and Lisa Pinola acted as flower girls. The attendants wore floor length gowns of yellow with short veils and carried bouquets of yellow carnations accented with talisman roses. Best man was David Allen. Ushers were David Steven Bickmore, Paul Bill Bickmore, Bickmore, Jim Wilhite and Dale MoulJol-en- Bick-mor- e, ton. r Special guests were the grandmothers of the groom, Mrs. Margaret Donavan and Mrs. Mildred Peterson. Registering the guests was Miss Sheryl Meek. ' Background music was furnished by Mrs. Luella Bowman. Mothers wore street length dresses of yellow and green with talisman rose corsages. Maurine is a 1968 graduate of Preston high school. She is completing her junior year this summer at Utah State University. John is a graduate of Logan high school and is also a stu dent at Utah State. Aftetr a honeymoon, the couple is at home in Logan where the new Mr, and Mrs. Donavan plan to continue! their studies at Utah Statte. They attended the Church of The Air broadcast at the Tabernacle, visited BYU campus in Pro' vo, and went to the rodeo in the Salt Palace Saturday night. Friday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Panter, her sister, Grace Harris, and her uncle, Chas McGregor, enjoy' ed a ride to Lava Hot Springs and had dinner and visited the gardens and swimming pools. They returned to Chas home in the evening for a chicken supper. Visiting over the July 24 weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Panter, were their daughters, Dixie Clegg and Francine Harker and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Panter of Provo. Sunday afternoon the Dean Panters received word after their return home Saturday evening of the arrival of a baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Panter in a Provo hospital.
