USAF Balladiers Present Finest Show Seen By Serviceman TO THE EDITOR: Recently, I was privileged to enjoy the finest U.S.O. show I have seen in five years of service, The Balladiers from USU. Since some of the members of this group are from Preston, I feel it would be appropriate to mention in your paper a special tribute to them. They performed to a capacity filleJ crowd at the Clark Air llasc Theatre and received a well earned standing ovation. After a rigorous schedule of visits to other servicemen in surrounding areas, they returned to Clark A.B. A hut, bumride proceeded py, four-hotheir performance to numerous patients at the Clark A.B. Hospital, most of whom were wounded serving their country in Vietnam. To be thcr and witness the appreciation in the eyes of those patients was a gratifying experience. That evening they were asked to perform a few numbers at the officer club and then they were rushed to a special firefor the side performance members of the church here, before catching their plane to Guam. Their professional performances and their friend ly attitude made me very FOB proud to be from USU and Preston. I hope that you will convey in your paper a special thanks to those members who gave of their talents and time to show us who ara either in, or in support of, the war; that someone back home really cares. We can be very proud of the good will The Balladiers from USU left on this side of the earth.
