Mr. and Mrs. Gary Windley and family of Conda were visitors at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hoopes, last Saturday. - Can Sell Insmance Now Ralph Graduates From School By KARLA RAWLINGS The graduating class Friday night of the Utah State Division of Vocational Rehabilita tion and Ability Agencies, Inc., in the Salt Lake County Library Auditorium has all of the earmarks of a typical college graduation: Students, young and alert, are awaiting anxiously for the much await ed hour, family members and interested neighbors are ga thering and the guest speak er is about to take the stand. wheelOnly the students' chairs give evidence that this group of young adults is no ordinary group of graduates. They are in fact severely disabled Utahns who have studied insurance at the Bonneville Convalescent and Nursing Center in Salt Lake City. Among the graduates is Raton Gilbert, son of Mrs. Jeanette (Jessie) Gilbert of Fairview. Ralph suffered a broken neck in a car accident and has been paralyzed from the neck down since the acci- expected when the body dent. In that instant, the course of Ralph's life was changed. Never again would he be able to participate in boxing, football and the other sports that had kept him so occupied at Preston high school. Ralph is one of a class of 16 who will have completed this nine months' school of insurance. All members of the class have passed licensing examinations and are now qualified to practice as insurance agents, and Ralph is looking forward to start working with a company.
