Dr. Loeb, an assistant professor of anthropology who joined the faculty last year, hopes to put the ear back in hear by resharpening the understanding of how music fits into an individuals life and culture. Music is a product of culture, he says, and a form of patterned behavior. He describes music as an aural phenomenon its there, then its which doesnt communigone cate specific thoughts, but offers different interpretations to listeners. If the terminal posts of the battery are not clean, use a wire brush. It's a good idea to pull the cable clamps from the terminal posts and scour the inside of the clamps and posts with emery or sandpaper. Replace the clamps tightly, then add a good coating you will find at your auto products retailer. .With a little help from your owners manual, check the fluid levels in the power steering, automatic transmission and brake master cylinder. Cancer Screening Clinic Slated Dec. 2-1- 3 The Utah State Road Commission, in its regularly scheduled meeting in Salt Lake City Nov. 15, took 14 Va miles of frontage and access roads off the State Highway System and conveyed them to Salt Lake and Summit Counties. The action was taken because the roads no longer meet the standards for the system as set by state law. The Commission conveyed to Salt Lake County 4.5 miles of frontage road near the Point of the Mountain paralleling both sides of between Bluffdale Road and the Salt Lake County line. The Commission also conveyed to Salt LLake County 3.1 miles of frontage and access road paralleling the eastbound lane of Interstate 80 between Lambs Canyon and the Salt Lake County line. To Summit County, the Commission conveyed 6.6 miles of frontage and access road paralfrom the leling both sides of to Kimline Salt Lake County balls Junction. The roads were built to carry through traffic and serve as an access for local residents while the Interstate Highway sections were being constructed. In its action, the Commission noted that the roads no longer justify being part of the State System of Highways, since they now serve primarily as access roads for local residents. The transfer of jurisdiction means that Salt Lake and Summit Counties will now be responsible for the maintenance of the roads. If, at any time, the roads are needed to assure the safe and proper operation of the Interstate Highway, they will revert back to the State Road 1-- 15 The Utah Division of the American Cancer Soriety, the Health Salt Lake and the Salt Lake Department County Mediral Soliety are sponsoring a lanrer slreening clinic December 2 thru 13, except on Saturday and Sunday.
