A EUGENE JENSEN R During the past two years I r have served the people ot or Sanpete County as their county county coun coun- ty commissioner I have enjoyed enjoyed enjoyed en en- joyed serving in this capacity I r feel I have the experience necessary for this position andam and andam andam am therefore seeking reelection re elec tion This is an agricultural county but in order to maintain maintain maintain main main- tain the valuation and economy economy economy econ omy of this county an industrial industrial industrial indus indus- trial committee was organized a number of years ago The purpose of this committee was to seek to attract new industries industries indus indus- tries to Sanpete I have wholeheartedly wholeheartedly wholeheartedly whole whole- heartedly supported our industrial industrial industrial in in- committee both personally personally personally per per- and as a commissioner Through its various works the committee has been in touch with people in the industrial world This has been beneficial beneficial beneficial bene bene- in attracting new industries industries industries indus indus- tries to Sanpete County This Industrial program is also seeking to strengthen our tourist trade One o the recent recent recent re re- cent advances in this area is that of our county cooperating with the State Parks Commission Commission Commission Commis Commis- sion in making a state park at Palisade Lake I r am at present serving as a member of Sa petes pete's Water and Natural Resource Commit Commit- tee This committee has been trying to solve problems that exist between National Forest Service stockman and water users The problem of reduction reduction reduction tion of livestock grazing on national forests if continued can be a serious threat to Sanpete's Sanpete s economy I have supported the move made by Sanpete County in operating co-operating with the two Sanpete Sanpete Sanpete San San- pete school districts and the state in financing a mental health clinic I was a booster when Sanpete Sanpete Sanpete San San- pete then joined by Juab and Sevier signed with the State Forestry and Fire Control Board Through this organization tion a time part-time man was hired to serve as Fire Warden forthe for forthe forthe the three counties This man was placed in our county Also through this thi s organization tion we have been able to obtain obtain obtain ob ob- tain much needed heavy equipment equipment equipment equip equip- ment which we may use throughout the county for road work or any other necessary necessary necessary sary job This equipment is gratis if kept in condition for fire fighting within our coun coun- ty Space does not permit me meto meto meto to enlarge further However I pledge myself to continue to be fair and impartial at all times and to serve all the people of Sanpete County to the best of my ability i i t STANLEY R.
