By and by the little flower will come to full blossom, and the perfume of his personality will be sweet in the home. Let me tell you a child brought up like that will go to seed before he ever gets to full blossom, and .his perfume will not be the sweet fragrance of flowers.. A child does not have to be encouraged to express himself; he has to be taught to restrain himself. Mans tendencies are always in the wrong direction. Even a child is known by his doings . . . whether.it be right (Proverbs 20:11). We need to teach children to walk in the. furrow that has been cut by the Tool of Gods Word, Which states emphatically: This is the way, walk ye in it (Isaiah 30:21) and Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:0). When our first child was born, I knew nothing about babies. I bought a baby book so that I could learn all the ropes. The author went on to say, It is the duty of a parent to help the child develop his personality, and personality development comes Never through say to a child, You must not do that. And do not spank his hands. You will give your child a complex. Just watch the trend of his personality and Released by the Gospel Felloxvship Association self-expressi- on. |
