According to an analysis of cost of living trends prepared by the Utah Foundation, the private research organization, living costs have increased 5.8 percent between September, 1968, and September, 1969. During World War I, however, living costs shot up more than 17 per cent in each of two consecutive years and also went up more than 15 percent in two other years.
