Sec. 29, TIN, R5E; and used for miscellaneous purposes. JOSEPH ELLIS REES Joseph E. Rees Is Dead al 57 Joseph Ellis Rees, prominent Northern Utah labor official, died Thursday morning, June 29, at his home, 1956 Van Buren, Ogden. He was 57. Mr. Rees was state director of the apprentice program for the Carpenters and Jointers Union.. For a number of years, he served as business manager and executive officer of the United Brotherhood of Local 450. Carpenters duplicate with the j Mr. Rees was one of the originators of a joint carpenter apprenticeship training program. His work in such training programs won him public service awards from the Utah Apprenticeship labor-managem- ent Council and Governor Calvin L. Rampton in 1966. He was recently awarded a 20 year Certificate of Recognition for Distinguished Service as a committee member for Utah Technical College. Through the years, he has received numerous certificates of recognition for outstanding service as a public servant. Mr. Rees had a special interest in Father Flannigans Boys Town, Omaha, Nebraska and recently received Hereafter, 18.0 ac. ft. of water is to be released into Weber River same as heretofor, and 18.0 ac. ft. of water is to be diverted from Weber River and tributary streams at the following points: (1) N. 1380 ft. & E. 210 ft. Protests resisting the granting of this application with reasons therefor must be filed in an Honorary Citizen's Award. Mr. Rees was a high priest in the Ogden LDS 20th Ward. He was born May 1, 1915, in Rock Springs, Wyo., a son of Ellis and Hannah Beverage Rees. On May 13, 1939, he married Faye Ball in Coalville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Rees lived in Coalville before moving to Ogden in 1950. Surviving are his widow, two sons, and two daughters, Ellis J. Rees and Richard George Rees, both of Ogden, Mrs. Larry (JSharon) Tonks of Morgan, Mrs. Charles (Andrea) Bohmanof Ogden; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Warren (Flor- ence) Lott of Provo, Mrs. Mark (Edna) Stewart of Tooele and Mrs. Russell (Lois) Marchant of Peoa; three stepsisters, Mrs. Glen (Ruth) Miller of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Fay (Mae) Winters of Lindon and Mrs. C.
