Elma stopped off at Green River, Utah and visited with her son Seth, who is working there. They all enjoyed visiting and a gbod time together. Friday the Wintertons went to Salt Lake City to enjoy a session of the Temple. Miss Carol Kohkonen and her fiance Craig Armstrong visited with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kohkonen. Their son Zumbrunnen, Kent and wife visited them through the week also. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Huff and their daughters, Mrs. DeLora Young and Mrs. Bonita Atkinson spent a pleasant few hours in Salt Lake where they enjoyed the Ice Follies. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Winterton and children spentSunday afternoon visiting with his parents, the DeLoy Wintertons. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Argyle as their Sunday guests, Vickie's sister Dianne Humphries and her fiance. had Sunday afternoon was a time of enjoyment atSacrament Meeting at the Woodland Ward as the Choralettes, a choral group from Heber City were on hand to sing many of their beautiful songs for us. Vern Osmond was the speaker. There were two of our ward members participating with the Choral group, they were Mrs. LaRetta Hardman and Mrs. Leora Knight. LeOras daughter, Karen Springer also sings with the group. A very entertaining afternoon was enjoyed by all who were in attendance. Roy Thacker and two boys of Bountiful were weekend visitors at the home of the Arvin Ander- sens. The Anderson's son Jeff was home visiting from the USU, also. Miss Elizabeth Anne Pearson of Salt Lake City has recently Executive Director of the Dairy Council of Utah. been appointed As Director, Miss Pearson will be responsible for maintaining a nutritional education program for Utah's dairy industry. Her duties will be centered around education systems, doctors, dentists, and other professions. Before accepting the appointment, Miss Pearson graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a BJ5. in Home Economics. She also attended the Brigham Young University in Provo, receiving her M.ED. in August of 1970. The town of Kamas wifi be a little brighter come June 1st, with a bright red building and new business. and oil painting to begin the first week in June. Anyone wishing more information should call 783-430- 9. . Jo McGregor moved to Woodland three years ago from Calif., where she was an art teacher for seven years. In Southern California Mrs. McGregor was well known for her art work and won many awards. She has had two shows and is still showing her work in California Galleries an Recently a painting she did of The Diamond Bar X Ranch in Winter was purchased by the East Sandy Elementary School to hang in the school collection. This new endeavor is really at popular request. She had so many people approach her for lessons that the studio in her home was too small. There will be an art school, art gallery, handcraft Boutique, and framing available. People in the surrounding communities interested in selling hand made articles should contact Jo McGregor. Students are now being enrolled for classes in drawing Pink and Blue Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Rees are the proud parents of a baby girl, 6 lbs. 14 12 oz. She was born April 11. Her parents named her Heidi and she has a brother Travis. The grandparents are Ward and Louise Rees, La Verl and Barbara Simmons. The great grandparents are Jake andNeta Rees, Mabel Wilde and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Prescott, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Child are the Return Nome Dr. and Mrs. Harold S.(Reva Judd) Davis returned to their home in Richland, Wash., on Saturday after visiting for a week in Provo and Hoytsville. With them was son Jim and daughter Jean Owen and baby daughter who are anxiously awaiting the return of Douglas Owen from Viet Nam. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Vernon received word of their 8th grandchild, a 9 lb. 1 oz. girl for Lt. Cmdr. and Mrs. Larry J. Vernon, of Kingsville, Texas. They have another little girl. Deni. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dean Vernon. Great grandparents are Mrs. Mary Weston of Kamas, Mrs. Irene Vernon of Heber City, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Vernon and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Geary ofCoalville. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Frazier of Tooele, Mrs. Irene Vernon of Heber City, Mr. and Mrs. William Reed of Salt Lake City were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Vernon. Mr. Jay Vernon is home after having a serious eye operation. He was at the University Hospital for 8 days but is improving every day. Mrs. Edith Clark was very happy to have a nice visit with her brother Marshall and his wife Ruby Clark and their daughter from Salt Lake on Sunday afternoon. SMsisncMwe She has since taught Home Economics in North Summit High School, and has served as a Home Economist for Utah Power and Light Company. Other employment also added to her thorough knowledge of the field. Wanship News Friends and relatives of Mrs. Kathryn P. Staples were present at a baby shower Thursday evening in the Wanship Cultural Hall. Make Us Your "One Stop" Press Center The ladies played four games. Mrs. Gay leu Pace and children spent Tuesday visiting with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cooley. The residents of Woodland mi glit have noticed the arrival of a new mobile home in Woodland. The new home belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Erb. They are locating the home east of the Ken Williams home in Wood- land. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Williams spent the weekend in Utah visiting with Kris' mother, Mrs. Sorenson. They returned home on Sunday evening. while answering the different questions on the game cards. All the answers had something to do with babies, names, the different articles needed for a baby and an addition and subtraction game with the answer being something for a baby. Then the gifts were unwrapped. Kathryn received blankets, quilts, shawls, sweaters, pajamas, gowns, baby bags, bath sets, diapers, plastic pants, shirts, mother a gown and' robe, spoon set, bottles, soap, lotion and other incidentals. Delicious refreshments were served, cake with rose with baby doll in center, punch, nuts and candy. On Saturday Kathryn and her husband Norman left for and rin Ernest. All the boys are great grandsons of Mrs. Mabeys. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Farrell and son Jamie of Bountiful, Utah visited Sunday at the home of his grandmother, Mabel R. Larsen. They also visited Irena Redden and Mr. and Mrs.Sher-do- n Woolstenhulme in Wanship. Much fun and laughter went on Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hardman have been spending a lot of time this past week in Salt Lake City helping their daughter Louise Farley, who is ill.
