It was given by her aunts, Dorothy Louder and Donna Staley. She received many lovely gifts and refreshments were served to everyone there. The Kamas Valley Lions Club met at the Town Park Thursday night and had a Joint meeting with the Heber Valley Lions Cluh. Fifty members werfe present and they enjoyed dinner and a real nice program. The Public Budget Hearing has been scheduled (or December 9 at 2:00 P.M. at the Courthouse in Coalville. Tentative Budget amounts to $505,119. This is $65,633, or 15 over current year's estimated spending of $439,486. It is $122,128, or 32 over actual 1969 county spendThe 1971 ing of $382,991. County population in the 10 years between 1960 and 1970 increased but 2.2 yet county spending in 2 years is projected to sky- - rocket 32. fees next year are projected to be $30,000 and Hospital spending $75,000. This means that the County Hospital is projecting a $45,000 deficit. The General Property taxpayer will subsidize this operation to the tune of 2J7 mills in 197L We consider this budget to be extravagant and the increases requested unwarranted. Utah Taxpayers Association 207 Kearns Building Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 Hospital News Notes from Kamas Valley Lafe and Lila Page have re- cently returned from a trip to Huntsville, Alabama where they visited with their son Lynn, who is stationed there. They flew down and Lynn met them at the airport. They saw the Mississippi River and GunnersonDam and other points of interest. They had a wonderful time and report that Lynn is doing real well. Lafe and Lila had their bmily home to spend Thanksgiving with them. Bob and Fern Ben and Shlrlene Page, Linden and Myrla Snyder, and Wit-tenu- Randy and Wanda Smith of Wyoming. DeVon and Louise Wilde and bmily spent Thanksgiving in Wallsburg with her bmily. They stopped in Heber on the way home and picked up his three daughters, Carrie, Cindy and Shelly, and they spent the weekend in Kamas with them, returning home to Elko, Nevada on Sunday. Scott and Lucinda Lewis are very thrilled and happy to have their son Charles home from Viet Nam. He will be here for 40 days and will serve the remainder of his time with the service Stateside. Jack and Barbara Sargent were very happy to be able to bring their tiny son, Shawn Vincent home from the hospital Sunday. He now weighs 8 12 pounds and Is 7 weeks old. Tom and Karen Simpson and children Scott and Tina, and Chris Samuelson spent the weekend in Delta. Glendon and Wanda Miles guests for Thanksgiving were their daughter and Dee and Glenda Thomas and son Terry Dee, Mick and Marvel Stevens, and Ira and Letha son-in-la- w. Miles. Glendon and Wanda Miles and son Bart went to Delta and spent the day visiting with Bob and Sherree and son Cody, on Sunday. Morlin and LeReta VanTas-se- ll were hosts on Thanksgiving to 28 members of his family. Don Pitts was In town Monday visiting friends and acquaintances. Myrtle Pitt spent a few days in Salt La ke at the home of Johnnie and Belva Johnson. She was there for Thanksgiving. John and Rose Bigelow and sons Jim and Kip enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Shirley Jorgensen and her family. In the evening; Dennis and Jim showed pictures they had taken while in Korea and Viet Nam. Dennis left Friday for Ft. Benning, Ga. Lorenzo Smith and sons of Salt Lake were in Kamas Saturday drilling the firemen on the use of the water pump on the new fire truck. The Fire Department was called out last Saturday to the home of DeLoy Blsel in Woodland. They were in a garage filling a tractor with gas while the engine was running and it ignited. The tractor was saved, but the garage was destroyed. Bud and Nettle Pitt were down to the St, Mark's Hospital last week for Bud to see a specialist. When they came out, someone had hit their car and left the scene. A front fender was damaged. Bud is feeling pretty good, and the cast Is cut down to the knee know. Ralph and Bonnie McCorm- icks son, Michael was admitted to the Primary Childrens Hospital Tuesday, where he underwent heart surgery on Wednesday. 1 finally got some printable news from Elaine Prescott. Little sisters Michele, Mikjen and Margot are delighted with their new brother. Zelma and Belden drove to Idaho Falls Wednesday and returned home Sunday. Willard and Cora Dillree returned from a vacation of several weeks Sunday. They were accompanied by Cora's mother, Mrs. L. L. Gold of Hexburg, Idaho. They took her mother home Wednesday and spent the Thanksgivlngholidays in Rexburg. Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Mrs. S. P. Mikkel-se- n included her son Bob, his wife Norma and their daughter Shelby, all of Salt Lake; Karen and her husband, Chester Spangler and their son Robbie of Layton and her mother, Mrs. William Woods and daughter Miss Ruth Woods. Shelby and Robbie spent the holidays with grandma. Mr. and Mrs. John Richlns entertained at a Thanksgiving feast. Their guests included, Frank and Flna Cattelan and daughters, Jane, Jean and Taunia and Earl Richins of Coalville. was a family Thanksgiving affair at the Harrison Richins. The guests included, Joy and Basil Beech with their children, Launa, Larry, Danny, Linda, Jim and Jane, of Ogden Frank and Fay Richins and children, Steve, Nancy, Phil and Patsy of Salt Lake, David and Karen Richins and their children, Heidi and Terry of Hoytsvllle. Mrs. Richard Richins and sons of Ogden joined the group later for an evening musical. Tillie and Karen were Fred and Phyllis Richins enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day and feast with their daughter Sue and Boyd and Robinson and sons at their home in Coalville. Mrs. Delia Bond enjoyed her Thanksgiving with her son, Lave me and his wife, Lorraine and their daughters, Rae Lynn and Jodi Ann, at their home in son-in-la- w, Echo. Mrs. Ac el Hales entertained members of her family for Thanksgiving. They Included, her son Leo and his wife, Cora and Nellie Raskop and her daughter Susan of Morgan. Leo and Cora returned to their home in Cheyenne Saturday. Thanksgiving was also a family affair at the Belden Lynns. Their guests included their daughter, Verla and her husband, Jack Winters and their children, Jackie, Verl, Joel, and Lisa of Salt Lake, Dee and his wife, Gail and their children, Richard, Penny and Julie Ann of Henefer. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Brown returned from California to spend Thanksgiving dinner home in Hoytsville. They spent a week in Hayward, California visiting with their daughter i Karma Backer and her husband. Troy, Kimberly and Gina Blacker were also happy to have their grandparents spend a little time with them. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gunn of Hoytsville also just recently returned from a visit in California. They spent a week visiting with their son LaMarr Gunn in Covina, California. The Gunns returned home Just in time to have their granddaughter, Marly s Gunn from Ricks College, down for Thanksgiving celebration. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis oi Provo and Mrs. Eva Laughlin of Peoa were the Thanksgiving Dinner guests of Mrs. Katharine Judd of Hoytsville. The Ralph Rees family held two separate reunions for Thanksgiving this year. Mr. and Mrs. Rice traveled to Mis- -, soula, Montana to visit and have Thanksgiving dinner with their son, Dr. R. Wayne Pace and his femily. Their other son, Eldon and his wife, Lu Ann and children met them in Missoula to bring half of the family together. Ron and Ellen Pace, Mr. and Mrs. Paces . other son and daughter-in-la- w traveled to Boulder, Colorado . to spend Thanksgiving with sister Leah and her husband Baxter Camp, which brought the other half of the family together with the exception of one more daughter, Joy who is married to Robert D. Williams, son , of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Williams of Coalville. They were not able to get together with the rest of the femily because they live in Oklahoma and felt it was too far to travel.
