Show Happenings in Henefer The school bell rang on Monday, August 26, (or students at North Summit and (bur youngsters from Henefer attended their first day of school. Kindergarten students from Henefer this year are Kirk Rlchins, son of ins, Valorie Dearden, daughter of Val and Marlene Dearden, Michelle Jones, daughter of Doug and Sharlene Jones and Joe Archuletta, son of Janisand Joe Archuletta. Mrs. Ovena Mayo of Pasadena Calif, has been visiting in Henefer with her mother Mrs. Fannie Rlchins. Saturday afternoon Curtis and Lydia Paskett visited at the Rlchins home and enjoyed listening to some tape recordings of organ music that Ovena had made. The afternoon was a most enjoyable one for Sheldon and Nancy Rlch- all. Visitors Sunday evening at the home of Curtis and Lydia Paskett were Mr. and Mrs. Milo Waddoups and family of Salt Lake. Marguerite and Floyd Gam of San Jose, California have been most welcome visitors at the home of Marguerite's mother, Mrs. Marguerite Paskett. The Gams also vacationed for a week in Colorado and visited in Riverton, Wyoming with Ken and Dorothy Paskett. While Marguerite was in Henefer she was Joined by Mrs. Rachel Wright, Mrs. Erma Rlchins, Mrs. Maina Dearden, Mrs. Ester Brown of Hoyts-vil- le and Mrs. LaRue Waldron of Morgan for an afternoon of visiting and lunch at the Kory Cafe. Mrs. Eva Roach of Richfield is visiting in Henefer with her parents Jimmy and Veda Brooks while her husband, Joe, is in Salt Lake for four weeks schooling in connection with his employment. They arrived Sunday afternoon to Join in the birthday celebration father. honoring Evas Earlier in the day a delicious dinner was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brooks and family of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Brooks and children of Milton, Mr. and Mrs. birthday Jimmy Brooks and son of Henefer, Lee Brooks and Mrs. Susannah Fowler. Terry Jones and his wife are visiting in Henefer with his parents, Bernard and Ina Jones, while on furlough from theU.S. Army. Terry has been stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Jan Stephens retured to Ogden Friday night with her brother, Gall and Carol Stephens following the reception in Coalville honoring the new Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, and spent the weekend with them. She returned home Sunday afternoon with her parents, Della and OrdellSteph-en- s and Dan and Marlon Stephens who visited with them. Michael and Connie Paskett have moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, where Michael will teach school this winter. Prior to their leaving they were the hosts to a "Grandparents Dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Errol Eddington and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thackeray of Morgan and Mrs. Marguerite Paskett enjoying the evening with them. Before leaving they were honored at a going-awparty at the home of Blaine and Lupe Dearden with Carl and Shirley Dearden, Layne and Helen Dearden, Louisa McKnighht Leland Foster and Alvin Dearden being present. One of the lovliest recep- tlons of the season was held August 14 in the Morgan Stake Cultural Hall honoring Carl and Shirley Dearden. A continuous line of family and friends offered best wishes and congratulations to the happy bride and groom. A program was presented with Johnny Johnson serving as master of ceremonies with the following numbers; Ladies trio, Thea Boyer, Kay Dearden and Dorene Rowser accompanied by Arvilla Fawcett; piano solo by Julie Carter, the bride's sister; vocal solo, Johnny Johnson; song by Carls friends, Michael Paskett, Blaine Dearden, Alvin Dearden, Leland Foster and Layne Dearden; and the final number was a vocal solo by foe ay bride's father, Mr. Ralph ATTENTION Henefer Church Big Hailstorm Hits Woodland held Tuesday, September 3 as soon as foe bus arrives. All children of Primary age are Invited to atPrimary Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Anderson hosted 76 members of the family to a birthday party honoring Ardell Clyde on her 75th birthday. A delicious steak dinner was served and the traditional birthday cake. An endearing tribute was given her mother by daughter Glenna McBride of Los Angeles, Calif. Weekend guests at the home of Arvin and Ardene Anderson were Mr. Roy Clyde and Glenna McBride of Los Angeles and Mrs. Ardell Clyde of Heber. On Wednesday Mrs. Mike Essauk and family of Eugene, Oregon and Parley Anderson of Heber were guests. Ardene and sons Robert and Roy, along with Aunt Glenna and Grandma Clyde spent three glorious days roughing it at Dude Ranch, owned the ar and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Allred. Mr. I. M. Stewart was taken to foe Heber hospital and later transferred to the LDS Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is home now and on foe road to recovery.
