Show i Six Inches of Snow, May 23, Vanishes Quickly WOODLAND MARION Laura Simpson left Thursday by plane for Washington where she will be chief bottle washer at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. George Simpson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Larson brought the snow storm. They arrived home in the thick of it from sunny Yacca VaUey, California where they have spent a joyous winter. Dick and Iona Larsen, Howard and Thelma Butters and Mae and Elmer Olsen visited May Lewis in the LD6 Hospital Saturday night. Alter three weeks of lying flat on her back, May has been promised therapy Tuesday 'and a most welcome position change. Tom Cossey is still in the LDS Hospital and has received his 8th pint of blood. He states, however, he is doing fine. I extend apologies to Joe Frodsham whose name 1 left out of the list last week as Seniors from Henefer who graduated from North Summit Friday evening. Joe is the son of Ur. and Mrs. Gene Frodsham. Mrs. Marguerite Paskett has a new great granddaughter, with the arrival of Christina Rae, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn F.. Paskett of Riverton, Wyoming. Pleased grandparents are Dell and Fae Paskett also of Riverton. Alden and Dorothy Richins and. children of Centerville in Henefer Sunday at the Noyman Richins home and with other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jaques had a double reason for attending graduation exercises at Morgan High School Thursday evening for among the 67 graduates were two of their grandsons, Hal Rees and Craig Little. Mrs. Inez Eaklns also attended the exercises granddaughter, Shanna Spend-lo- ve receive her diploma. Also attending the exercises were Mrs. Elvira Harris, Mrs. Fern Shill and Marty of Henefer, Albert and Nadine Eakins, Carolyn Johnson, Frieda Slck-lng- er and Ira and Barbara Harris and Becky of Ogden. Also among the graduates was Jim Taylor, son of Don and Ethel Taylor, who use to live in Henefer. Mr. James A. Taylor is Jims grandfather. Mrs. Marguerite Paskett was the hostess Sunday afternoon at a combination birthday, grad-visitnation and going-awdinner honoring her son Grant Paskett whose birthday is May 28, Rosie Dandy and CurleenNakai the Indian children who will leave this weekend to return to their homes for the summer, and for her grandsons, Phil and Michael who will graduate this weekend from Weber State College. Elder Leland Foster gave a very fine report of his mission Sunday evening at Sacrament meeting. A vocal solo was given by his young brother, Stan, accompanied by Dean Pace. The name of Tim Frodsham son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Frodsham was presented to be advanced in the Priesthood to the office of a Teacher. Plan to attend the Creative Arts Display to be held in connection with MIA June 11. Everyone is encouraged to display items they have made such as paintings, handwork, hobbies, ceramics, collections, etc. If further information is desired contact the Presidencies of the MIA, Primary or Relief Society. t Berniece Wilde was called to Salt Lake to the home of her son Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilde due to the illness of her grandson. Hope all is well at this writing. John and Florence Maxwell of Mt. Pleasant were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wilde. Norine Crittenden who graduated from South Summit last Thursday was very happy to have her brothers and sisters attend: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Page of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Crittenden of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Crittenden and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Crittenden both of Ashton, Idaho, along with some friends from Coalville and of course Mother and Dad were on hand to extend congratulations and best wishes for Norine. Hoytsville Mr. and Mrs. Ted Crittenden, Cindy, Deann and Norman and Mrs. C. A. Crittenden went to Pleasant Grove Sunday where they accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Faye Winters to church to hear their son Ronald Crittenden speak in the Linden Ward. Ronald has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Winters while attending BYU. He is making arrangements to go on a mission to Mexico in June. Jessie Sargent has been visiting for the past week with her. sister Bonnie in Salt Lake City. The Woodland Ward MIA girls held their creative arts evening last week with a most enjoyable program. Mr. Clark Bronson and Vera Dougdale, author and artist of juvenile books, as guest speakers, with Jan Lefler presenting a violin solo; Bee Hive girls sang; Scott McAifee saxophone solo; Elynn Moon talked on "Culture in the Church. Nancy Clawson vocal solo and Pearl Moon, piano solo. After the program Creative Arts were displayed in the Cultural Hall and refreshments served. The Sacrament meeting last week was well attended. Speakers were Elder Sheldon Kirk-ha- m who has just returned home from a most successful mission in Southern California and Craig Van Tassell who is leaving to labor in the Spanish Florida Mission. Both boys were very entertaining and sincere. Woodland CTR Pilots planned a picnic Tuesday to celebrate it being the last day of real school but the weather had other plans and rained them out. Rain or shine they are still happy Schools Out." Elder Gary Moon was guest speaker in Sacrament meeting May 26. Elder Moon enters the mission home on June 3 and will leave June 10 for the West Central Mission. Graduated from BYU on May 31 will be Miss Ann Lefler, Mr. Vernon Moon and Mr. Kent Kohkonen all of Woodland. The Merry Mrs. held their Club on Wednesday May 22 at the home of Corlnne Pitt and many attractive articles were sewed on and a great deal of visiting. Fifteen members were present to partake of the luscious refreshments. Edwin E. Dahl has been employed by Kentron of Hawaii and has been living on Johnson Island.
