She first went to Idaho where she visited with relatives, then on to Nevada, where she spent time with other relatives. She left Sparks, Nevada, by plane for Hawaii, where she spent three months with a son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laird. While there she had the pleasure of attending gradua tion exercises for her granddaughter, Linda Laird, from high school. When she returned to California, she stopped in Monrovia, where she visited with another son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Laird for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Laird drove their mother to Eureka, where Phil joined his brothers in the deer hunt. The Phil Lairds daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dougles Logan, and son, Clay, made the trip to Eureka and visited here for a few days. Treasury Department Ronald Nelson was lucky in bagging a nice deer on the last day of the hunt in this area. He got his deer in the Homans-vill- e area. Keith Snyder and Lynn Gourley and Floyd Gour-le- y were also in the party. Floyd Gourley bagged his deer in the first days of the hunt, but just went along for the ride and assist if necessary. Mrs. Anna Franks spent the weekend in Salt Lake where she combined business and pleasure. Ann and Josie Sullivan were visitors over the weekend, where they combined business and pleasure. Salt Lake Dick Bryson suffered a stroke Monday morning and was taken to the Nephi Hospital. Tuesday morning Mrs. Bryson was taken ill and was rushed to the hospital, where she is now confined.
