Show THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Page Six Scout Banquet Sunday proves successful with 100 in attendance Girl The Girl Scout Banquet held last Sunday afternoon in the Elks club rooms, was a most enjoyable affair, according to all those attending. There were about 100 people in attendance, ivhich included the parents of girls and some special gu:sts which inclueded Mayor Mrs. Curtis Butler, Mr. and Mrs. R'chard Stone of Provo, (Mrs. Stone is the district co- r--- ! fashions looted . . . Yjewd Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gourley, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. John Suther- ordinator), Mr. and Mrs. Ned Allinson represented the American Legion Aux., Mr. and Mrs. Ted Johnson, Exalted Ruler of BPOE, and the Elks sponsor the Senior Girl Scouts and the Cadet-teMr. and Mrs. Virgil Berry (Mrs. Berry is Presient of the Miners Union Auxiliary) who sponsors the Brownies; Mrs. Emma Lewis, who has given to the valuable assistance scouts in many of their projects. A turkey banquet was served at 2:30 and was followed by a program epicting four levels of Girl Scouting and what they had accomplished. Each girl scout troop presented a dance they had learned during the year. Debbie Laird was narrator of program, and talks were given by Alice Judge, Mickey Morris, Debbie Ewell and Lau-n- a Allinson; musical numbers were given by Sue Ann Gar-bet- t, Janalee Eastwood, Laurie and Marcte McCabe, Debbie Ewell and Janet Brady. Mrs. George Beattie, Junior Scout Leaer, introduced the honored guests. Mrs. Frank McCabe is Publicity Director for the Girl Scouts. This is the first year the Senior Scouts have had a troop in Tintic. Allinson, April 5, 1968 land were in Oak City last EYiday evening attending a wedding and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Broderick. The bride is the former Sylvia daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lyman Finlinsonn of Oak City, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cloy Broderick of Tooele. The wedding and reception were held in the Oak City LDS Cultural Hall. The Cloy Broderick family Mrs. Fin-linso- s, - David Bernini, a student at the University of Utah, spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr .and Mrs. Joseph This happy little guy, Edward Sorensen, Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Sorensen, and celebrated his first birthday anniversary on March SO. Mother is the former Julie Ann Cart- ANDREW wright. 4-- H n, are former residents of Eureka and the groom is a nephew of Hamilton Lairds and the Roy Gourley family, an a grandson of Mrs. A. L. Broderick. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Butler were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Butler of Nephi. Mrs. Wanda Colovich and son and daughter, Craig and Sherrie were Provo visitors on Saturday of last week. Mr .and Mrs. R. A. Finch visited here on Sunday evening with his sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas. DRUG will be Club news OPEN EVERY WEDNESDAY happenings The Happy Homemakers held their meeting March 28 at the home of Sue Ann Garbett. The meeting was called to order by Sue Ann Garbett and the girls Code. The recited their minutes were read and approved and the group sang This Little Light of Mine.
