Mike Sanderson was presented with his Eagle Badge and David Christensen was given his Star Badge. Other advancements were won by many of the boys. There were 76 merits for the troop and Eureka holds 44 of them. They won the honor flag for the year. Mark Taylor is the Scoutmaster for Troop 111. 18 boys participated in a back pack camp last Friday evening and spent the night at Wings Flat west of Eureka. Scoutmaster Mark Taylor accompanied the boys and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Sanderson, Stormy Allinson are the troop committee, and chairman, Arthur Long, were leaders of the camp during the over- night stay. Miss Stratton, a student at Brigham Young University, also conducts Miss charm schools for ses will be presented. Girls will also model clothing completed during the year. A program will be given and refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited to attend the function. Mrs. Larene Becker of Bums, Oregon, is visiting with her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. James Toone in Mammoth. She is also visiting with other family members. She came to Utah with her mother, Mrs. Marie Berry, who has been very ill, but is reported to be much improved. secretary, Alice Peart and the treasurer is Fawn Fife. FOB REBT Miss Jane Fitch and a friend, Miss Rose Mary Tansey of Newberg, New York, spent the weekend here with Janes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fitch, Jr. The young ladies are students at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Other visitors recently at the Fitch home was their son, John and Hal Spencer. John is attending the U of U, and Hal was on leave from the Marines. He will leave in the next week for Comp Pendleton in California. Hal also visited with the James Quigley family. A group of Ladies traveled to Tooele last Saturday, were they attended the Ladies of Elks luncheon in that city. Luncheon was served at 1:00 p.m., and a program was presented following thhe luncheon. Those attending from Eureka were Jean Giles, Edna Jasper, Alice Peart, Fawn Fife, Robin McCabe, Faye Wall, Naomi Cushing, Grace Bernini, Thelda Eastwood and Alliene Farren. Elmer Westerlund returned on Tuesday of this week, after spending the winter months in Riverside, California. Ted Colo-vic- h and his son, Craig and Paul Hansen drove to Riverside and accompanied Mr. Westerlund to Eureka. Tintic O. E. S Worthy Matron, Jea nine Johnson, assisted by Worthy Patron, Ted Johnson, presided at the Monday evening meeting of the Tintic Chapter, O. E. S. No. 18. A regular meeting was disposed of and plans were com- pleted for a Bake Sale to be held. At the conclusion of the meeting, tasty refreshments were served by Ted and Jeanine Johnson.
