Show August 4, 1967 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND The entire community was shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of John J. Coffey Jack to his host of friends and admirers. Despite our grief and sense of loss, we are grateful that it was our privilege to know this gentleman of such great stature. This man passed by us, and each of us is better by knowing him. His sincerity, his kindness, his humbleness, his faith is something that will live long after he is gone. Jack was ever ready when he was needed. Many times we called on him when our own courage was found wanting. Never did he let us down, and always we were grateful. In all the years we knew this gentleman we never heard him speak an unkind word against anyone. He looked for, and found, the best in every man he would not tolerate less. So we say to you, Jack, in the words of the Master, Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the Kingdom and the Glory of the Lord.
