Show July 7, 1967 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Earlean Gear returns from trip to Europe The Mrs. Earlean Gear returned home last Thursday three-wee- k from a vacation in Europe where she visited Denmark, Ireland, Norway and Sweden. She joined a tour in Salt Lake City and most of the trip was made by plane Copenhagen, Denmark, was the first country visited. She reports that it is such a spotlessly clean city with greenery everywhere, and a land of the most beautiful flower gardens. Even the smallest cottages had lovely flowers in the windows. They spent several days driving through Swedens forest area, which was a delight for all. A great deal of road construction was underway since on September 3 Sweden will change from left hand to right hand driving. Norway, with its beautiful forests, lakes, waterfalls and fords was the most spectacular .place visited. Every year on the longest day of the year a "Midsummer Festival is held and they were fortunate to be there at that time which added siderably to the enjoyment of Club enjoyed a Robinson home. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. William Morris were for the evening. Those attending were Mrs. Dick Laird, Mrs. Fred Laird, Mrs. Joseph Wahlberg, Mrs. Berry, Mrs. Don Hopes and Mrs. Carol Jolley. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Green River, Wyoming, spent the Independence Day holidays here at the Curtis Butler home. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Olsen and family of Maryland, left Mon- day for their home, after spending a two week vacation here with her mother, Mrs. Maude McIntyre and her brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Steele McIntyre and Mr. and Mrs. Howard McIntyre of Mammoth. While here they took a trip to Flaming Gorge, and spent a few days in visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Les Olsen. San-taqui- ing her stay in Reno. Salt Lake on Friday. Mrs. Lee Bird and daughter, Marene, and granddaughter, Debra Milne, drove to Salina Mrs. James Toone returned home Friday evening after a 15 days visit to Reno where she was the guest of her son and daughter-in-laMr .and Mrs. Mike Toone, and with her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Becker. She made a trip to Klamath Falls, Oregon, with her son and his wife, dur w, last Friday for a visit with relatives. Another granddaughter, Lorraine Julander returned to Eureka with them and is visiting at the Bird home. More than 85 per cent of all new kitchen sinks made in Canada are produced of nickel stainless steel. Mrs. Della Allinson and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Allinson were in Magna Friday evening attending the wedding of Mrs. Della An-nel- le Lemmon, and David Allen Bennett. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lemmon. Mrs. Lemmon is the former Dorothy Allinson and both Mr. and Mrs. Lemmon are former residents of Eureka. The Ned Allinsons daughter, Launa, was one of the bridesmaids for her cousin. A reception honored the newlyweds at the Hunter gowomp m LDS Stake Center Friday evening. The young couple was married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride has attended BYU in Provo and the bridegroom has attended U of U and is presently serving in the United States Air Force stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California. Methodists plan picnic for Sunday, July 9 . The Methodist Church Sunday School will hold a picnic Sunday " July - 9, at Salem Park. The cars will leave the church at 10 a.m. Linda Gourley, superintendent, is in charge of arrangements. All those attending are asked to bring their lunch; drinks will be supplied by the church. There will be no services at the church this Sunday, but a short service will be conducted at the park. All members of the church are invited to Birthday party held for Marene Bird A group of friends called at the Lee Bird home Monday evening and surprised their daughter, Marene, on the occasion of her 13th birthday anniversary. The party was held on the patio at the Bird home and the young people had a fun evening doing all the latest dancing and enjoying the delicious refreshments, complete with a beautiful birthday cake, made for Marene by Lucille Knotts. It was the center of attraction on the dining table. Assisting Marene in celebrating her big day were Brent Fields, Robert Fields, Mike Stapley, Ricky Chambers, Ronnie Gilson, Ted Gilson, Charlie Butler, Jolene Schow, Jackie Morris, Adele Nebeker, Janalee Eastwood, WendyFifeNelson, BobBecky Robinson, Joy Sutherland. by Allinson, Kerry Becky Robinson and Janalee Eastwood assisted in serving the guests.' Miss Margaret Harrington is confined to the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake, where she is reported to be seriously ill. Her host of friends in Eureka are wishing her the best in the way of a speedy and complete recovery. Debbie James, who has spent the past week here at the Dick Laird home, returned- to Salt Lake on Tuesday. Her parents! I Mrs. Elsie Nilson spent the past week visiting in Orem with her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Storrs. She also visited in Springville with the Rusty Rife family.
