IShe returned to the city Monday afternoon. Friends of Miss Vera Dodge, formerly of Silver City, now residing in Maywood, Calif., will be pleased to learn that she is recuperating nicely at her home after undergoing major surgery. Continued improvement is being wished by her host of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Lindsay of Salt Lake, spent the holiday weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fennell. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ryan and family are spending a few days at Fish Lake. Holiday weekend guests of Mrs. Margaret Hyde, were her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Christensen and baby son, Guy Allan, of Salt Lake, and a sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Jack Dcatherage of Tucson, Arizona. They came to Eureka to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bird and small son, of California, who have been vis- iting their parents here. The Cranes and the Ronald Birds were dinner guests at the Lee Bird home. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Montague and family of Payson were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Montague's sister and July 9, Mr. and Mrs. were in Salt Lake last Thursday evening attending the Sound of Music.
