Later they adjomed to the" Rectory for the regular meeting. President Ellen Muth conducted. The regular business session was conducted and final plans were made for the St Patrick's Ball which will be held at the Memorial Building on Saturday, March 20. Entre Nous The members of the Entre Nous Club met last Wednes-d- a yevening at the home of Mrs. Curtis Butler. Mrs. Steele McIntyre reviewed the book An Infinity of Mirrors by Richard Condon, which dealt with the terrible treatment of the Jews in recent years. An interesting discussion followed the review and a short business session was held. Mrs. Butler served tasty refreshments to Mrs. Alex Blight, Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mrs. Jim Muth. Mrs Earlean Gear, Mrs. Leslie Randle, Mrs. Myrtle Theriault, Mrs. Leonard Ryan, Mrs. Steve Milne, Mrs. Robert Thomas and Mrs. McIntyre. Thursday club The Thursday afternoon club met lost week at the home of Mrs. Brennan Hannifin. Luncheon was served at 1:00 p.m.f and 500" furnished the afternoons entertainment. Columbia Rebekah Colombia Rebekah Lodge No. 2 met last Thursday evening in the Miners Union Hall, with Noble Grand, Helen Laird, siding. A routine business session was disposed of and cards were dispensed with for the evening, and in the drawing for prizes, the high cut was won by Minnie Painter and 2nd high, Colleen McNulty. Mrs. McNulty and Mrs. The Stake MIA Gold and Green Ball will be held this Saturday, March 13, at the Cultural Hall. Dancing will begin at 8:30 p.m. and dancing will be furnished by a live orchestra. Dear Heart" is the theme of the event and special decor is being planned for it, with MIA stake and ward leaders planning and working diligently to make the evening an outstanding suc- cess. Next Monday evening, Mar. 15, the Stake and Ward Lead- ership Meeting is to be held at 7:30 p.m. Assistance and planning i son the agenda. MIA workers are all urged to be there. One of the loviest events of the season was the MIA Stake Beehive Standards Night which was held last Tuesday, March 2, at the Stake Cultural Hall. Stake Bee Keepers, June Heelis and Alton, Berry and ward Beekeepers assisted in the production. All Stakes and Ward Relief officers and teachers are invited to be present at Relief Society Leadership meeting Thursday, March 18, at 10:00 Red Cross gives report on blood The following is a report from the Red Cross blood bank in Salt Lake City for blood donated in Juab County during the year: 165 bottles of blood Relief Socity Organization.) Party is scheduled to be held at the Stake Center. Both Relief Society Organization officers are in charge of the event, which this year will commence with a hot dinner at 6 p.m. All Ladies of the two wards, their husbands and youth 16 years and over are cordially invited to be there. It is an Apron and Overall event, which is always fun. However, if you dont have this attire, please dont stay away. A special program, under the direction of Wanda Greenhalgh Jeanine Van Ausdal and Byrl Thomas is arriving from Pay-so- n to delight and entertain those attending, following the dinner. were donated to the blood bank and 172 pints were sent to local hospitals to be used if and when needed. 53 pints were provided for Juab County residents in hospitals in Salt Lake City. 61 pints were replaced at Utah County Hospital. 2,062 cc of gamma globulin were sent to Juab County doctors. Commercially gamma globulin costs about $3.00 a cc. About 4 or 5 cc's are obtained from a pint of blood, so about 500 bottles were involved in obtaining the the Juab globulin gamma County doctors used for residents of the county. The above report should give the residents of Tintic an idea of just how effective the Red Cross blood bank is functioning. March is Red Cross Month, and residents are urged to be as generous as possible in contributing to this worthy cause. Mrs. Carol Larsen and her small grandson, Russ, of Spanish Fork, spent Thursday here with Mrs. Larsens mother, Mrs. Mildred Garity. Mr. and ston drove day, where with Mr. Mrs. Cecil Livingto Orem on Tuesthey spent the day and Mrs. Sylvan Johnson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Toone drove to Dear Creek on Monday, where they enjoyed a few hours fishing. They report a good catch. am.
