Mrs. Murray Moler, Ogden, 433-684- Tues.-Thurs.-S- Phone 433-68- at 08 President of the Council, said "We have long felt the need of a camp for girls in this area. If the proper site, with a good water supply, can be acquired, we feel it would open up the scenic wonders of the Moab area to Girl Scouts from all over the state. Alexander Blight and Chriss Sorensen were in Salt Lake on Tuesday, attending a School Board meeting, called by the State Supt. of Public Instruction. the state. Mrs. Moler said that development of the camp would de- pend on the finances available. Initial construction would include toilet facilities and a cooking shelter. Any expansion of Girl Scout camp facilities is financed by individual and group contributions, such as that from the Civitain Club, and proceeds from the annual cookie sale. Mrs. Anderson wrote the letters as the youngsters dictated them. Many of them stated they didnt want bery much and the following is the result. One of the youngsters who didnt want bery much was Valree Laird, she wrote: Dear Santa: I want a Tammy doll, food, a projector, a Magic board, and colored pencils. I will be a good girl. We will go out into the mountains soon and get a tree. Valarie Laird. This little guy didnt think he was asking for much, just a few things. Dear Santa: I want a pair of cowboy boots, a hat, shirt and cowboy pants. I would like some cookies too. I always help mother and daddy. Johnny Badertscher. This little lady thinks she can be a good girl, at least until after Christmas. She writes; Dear Santa Claus: I will try to be a good girl, and help Mother clean up the living room and set the table. I want a Kissee doll, some Barbee doll clothes and a Tammy doll. Diana Banghart. This litlle guy wanted some stuff and regular heman asks for a Tiger Joe and a Rifle set, and a Jungle Hunt and a Mouse Trap (thats a game). I will help mother wipe the dishes, be nice and say my prayers. Jerry Gourley. This little fellow really didnt ask for much. Perhaps he did not have time to think. He writes: Dear Santa Claus: I want a Kinners Building set, and a vacuum Form. I will see you over at the high school. Bret Wall. (By Saturday he will probably think up several more things, but at the moment was content with just a few things). Another little girl was modest with her wants and writes: Dear Santa Claus: I want one of those Nancy Nurses, an Ironing set and a story book. I like to help my mother. Eileen Webb. Dear Santa Claus: I want a Vacuum Form (whatever that is) a cash register and bring Tanna a baking set I help mother clean the house and work with wood for Dad. Ben Thompson. (Ben was thinking of someone else, which is a good sign). Lloyd Johnson asks for an electric train, a game named Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, a Robot Commando and a statue of Frankenstien and a Robot Frankenstien. (He is probably asking for the scary things to keep Dad from playing with the electric train, if Santa brings him one). Heres one for the books: Dear Santa: I want cookies and a Tootsie toy. Thats all I can think of. Michael Lofgran. (Michaels wants will build up as time goes on). Dear Santa: I want some cookies, a Tammy doll, cowboy boots, shirt and a brown piano. His wants arc a dump truck and a play snow plow, a jeep that hauls and dumps, a steam shovel, fire engine, water truck and a gas truck. Im good to Mother and Daddy and my sisters, Duffy, Banty, Joan, Martha and to beginning run White bass are my brother, Sam. I think Santa will know I am a good boy. Kay Garbett asks for a Jerry Mahoney doll, a jeep, space monster and a Tiger Joe. He states that he has been a good boy. Glen Wahlberg writes: Dear Santa, I want a B-- B gun, a cattle truck and a sleeping bag and a plastic tent. Thats all. Maybe he will bring me something else too if I dont ask for too much. Sue Ann Garbett writes, Dear Santa: I want a Tammy doll and suit case, some doll clothes, a jewelry box, nurse kit, chalk board and some chalk. I want some birds for the babys cradle. I have been a good girl and I help my mother. Bobby Bushs wants are very modest and he writes: Dear Santa: I want a police car for Christmas. I am a good boy. I dance right and sing the Operetta song right. (Bobby was absent the day the pictures were taken). Becky Phillips asks for a beginning run into the warm springs area around Lincoln Beach on Utah Lake, the their annual Department of Fish and Game reported today. Fishing has been reported spotty to dale with some periods when they cant be kept off the hook. Reports from the Departments Central Regional Office in Provo indicate that sunny days have been best The fish move into the Lincoln Beach area each year about this time seeking warm water temperatures. Pebbles doll, (the big one) a bike, rocking chair, Donald Duck book, a flag like we have in our school room at school, a hat with ribbons on it, crayons and some tape. (Her main woryy was that Santa wouldnt find her house). Little Lee Nelson was absent the day the letters were written, but his class mates thought he might be happy to get what Santa Claus might think he would like.
