Show December. 28,. 1962 Club chit chat Columbia Rebekah Columbia Rabekah Lodge No. met last Thursday evening in the Miners Union Hall for the annual Christmas party. A short business session was disposed of, with Noble Grand Irma Jasperson in charge. A turkey dinner was served and the table was made attractive and festive in the Christmas theme, and a gift exchange was enjoyed. Frances Ewell and Vola Nevers were in charge of the decorations, and Alliene Farren and Alice Peart planned the menu for the banquet. A social hour was enjoyed following the banquet 2, and cards were disposed with, and pleasant visiting was en THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER joyed for the rest of the ning. eve- Miners Auxiliary The Miners Union Auxiliary celebrated at the annual Christmas Banquet last Wednesday evening. A regular business was conducted by President Mildred Davis, and the evening was then turned into a social session. A banquet was enjoyed, with colorful Christmas colors turning the hall into a delightful holiday scene. Alliene Farren and Virginia Bradford were in charge of the decorations. Members exchanged gifts, and cards were dispensed with, and a visiting session was enjoyed by all those attending. MO" Christmas Party The Five Hundred Club met last Thursday afternoon for their Christmas Party at the home of Mrs. Brennen Hannifin. A turkey dinner, with all the trimmings was served at 1:00 p.m. The dining table was decorated in the Christmas theme, and a beautifully trimmed Christmas tree added considerably to the festive occasion. The members ex- changed gifts, and the group sang Christmas carols, and were accompanied on the by Mrs. Gerald Aitken, who also played several selections for the ladies. Later cards were enjoyed, with Mrs. Wm. Paxman winning the high score, Mrs. Oscar Erickson 2nd high and the cut prize, Mrs. ac-cordi- an Wilson Lees at Christmas party Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee and family members were in Springville Christmas Day attending a party for Mrs. Lees parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Peterson. The dinner party was given at the home of one of the Petersons daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Nielson. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Lee returned to Eureka and were accompanied by their sons and daughters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lee and children of Ephraim, Tim Hannifin, consolation. Others attending the ant afternoon session pleas- were Mrs. Dean Hose, Mrs. Ronald Bray, Mrs. Melvin Hanson and Mrs. Harold Sorensen. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lee and boys of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Max Lee and family of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Regis and children of Price. The group held a Christmas celebration before returning to their respective homes. The Regis family remained for further visiting, and stayed here until Thursday, when they returned to Price. The Glen Lees also visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash. Home visit Hamilton Laird, Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, made his official visitation to his home lodge, Tintic No. 711, Thursday evening. A steak dinner was enjoyed at Lucilles Lounge at 6:30 p.m. preceding the regular Lodge meeting at last 8 p.m. 00 At Kenneeott, today9! mining and processing operations are only part of the copper production story.
