Ned Allinson waa in charge of the meeting with Lloyd Penrod, Mr. Thishner and Ray Crook conducting yearly inspection. The Eureka boys consisting of three dens passed well in all fields. Special guests were Bishop Ronald Thomas and Denton Bartchi, councilor. Also present were the families and friends of the scouts. At the close of the evening delicious refreshments were served under the direction of the Den mothers, Thelda East-wooBarbara Webb, and DorAllinson. othy d, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Paxton of Salt Lake City spent New Years day with Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Gourley. Mr. and Mrs. Nevcrs re- turned to Provo with them and spent a very enjoyable New Year's Day watching the Rose Parade on colored television. While in Provo they also visited with Mrs. Norma Bate and son Jerry. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson and small son Scott E. spent the New Years weekend visiting in Eureka with Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker ,Sr. While in town they attended the New Years party held at the Elk's Club rooms. . A delightful New Years eve party was held by the MIA at the Santaquin Stake house Sat. evening. A buffet supper was served and Mr. Fred Garbett, and Mrs. David Garbett furnished musical entertainment during the dinner. The rest of the evening was spent ' dancing. Attending from Eureka were Mr. and Mrs. Denton Bartchi, Bishop and Mrs. Ronald Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Garbett, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Berry. Mr. and Mix. Max Bralth- waite of Spanish Fork were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson. BIr. and Mrs. Glen Lee and family spent New Years day in Eureka visiting with .their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash.
