The members will celebrate at their annual Christmas Party and gifts will be exchanged. Mrs. Hyde is request- ing a good attendance. It ! Corner Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Laird are rejoicing over the birth of their first grandchild, a baby boy, born to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson on Monday at the Price Hospital. The welcome little fellow weighed 5 lbs. 10 ozs. New mother is the former Sharon Laird. New Dad wasn't on hand to welcome his baby son, as he is in Oklahoma City attending Electronics School. He is expected home over the weekend, when he will make up for lost time. Grandmother Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Regis and daughter, Jana of Price; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lee and family of Ephraim; Mr. and Mrs. Max Lee and daughter, Laurie of Salt r. Lake and Mrs. William The Glen Lees spent part of the day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash. stake news numbers. A special call is being made to the youth of our stake to join the special Youth Chorus being formed for our Stake Quarterly Conference in January. Practice is scheduled for 3 p.m. each Sunday at the Stake Center. Melba Jensen is the director and accompanist is Erma Cloward. MIA groups of each ward are making plans for a Special Fireside to follow the Sacrament Meeting the evening of Dec. 31, New Years Eve. It is a special event, planned for the youth of our stake. Refreshments will be served. A good attendance is urged. On Saturday evening, Dec. 30, the annual New Years Eve Party for all over 16 years of age will be held in the Stake Center. A Smorgasbord supper will be served at 7:30 p.m. followied by dancing from 8:30 to 11:30. Stake MIA leaders, assisted by ward officers and teacher? are in charge, and promise an outstanding evening of fun and entertainment. There will be hats and lots of fun. Plan to attend this holiday celebration. Genola Ward MIA Conference was held this past week noise-maker- s, Mrs. Helena Sorensen of Mammoth who has been confined to the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she has been treated for bronchial pneumonia, was released from the hospital last Sunday. She is recuperating at the home of a brother, the Ferry Nielsens in Plasant Grove. Her many friends in the district are wishing her a speedy recovery. Guests over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thomas were their daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bee and their five children of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They came to spent the Thanksgiving holidays, and left for their home on Monday. Other dinner guests on Thanksgiving were Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Thomas and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomas and son, Dusty of Moab; Mr. and Mrs. Bemell Thomas and boys of West Tintlc and J. S. Finch of Orem. The MIA Maids and Laurels sang. A Reminder for all Ward Stake officers and teachers: Dont forget to keep Dec. 16th open for that well planned evening of special holiday activity at the Stake Center. All stake and ward officers and teachers and their partners are urged to be there. Last Saturday evening the Genola Ward Primary officers and teachers feted their husbanbands at a pre-Christm- quet Reported as from Genola was the UA Hona primary party, given the girls by their teachers, Darlene Nelson and Helen Smith. Parents were also invited. Next Sunday is Ward Conference in Santaquln First ward. All members are urged to be in attendance. Mrs. Bessie Toone, Mrs. Della Berry, Miss Elizabeth O'Connor and Mrs. Amelia OConnor were in Provo on Monday, where they combined business and pleasure. The 375 voice choir will sing 10 274-336- 433-687- to express our thanks and appreciation to our many friends and relatives who helped in any way at the time of the death of Willie Rusby. We are very grateful for the beautiful offerings and for the many cards and letters expressing sympathy.
