Show I December 16, 1960 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Page Two ( Legion Auxiliary has Christmas party Miners' Union Auxiliary The American Legion Auxiliary met Monday evening in the Memorial Building and following the regular business session, the members enjoyed a Christmas Party. A pot luck supper was served. The tables were decorated in the Christmas theme, and the members exchanged gifts. Virginia Bradford, president of the organization announced that money had been donated to the Primary Childrens Hospital to help purchase gifts for the children confined to the hospital. Bingo and 500" furnished Miners' Union Auxiliary held its annual Christmas party last Wednesday evening at Lucilles Lounge. A short business meeting was held, and a banquet was served following the meeting. made Christmas decorations the table festive, and gifts were exchanged among the members. Bingo and 500 supplied the evenings diversion, with lone Ryan winning the Bingo prize, Mrs. Kate Ames the 500 prize and Elva Webb the i, Eighth birthday calls for party I Mrs. Theodore Haynes Social en- tertained at a childrens party last Saturday- afternoon, honoring her son, Teddy, on the occasion of his 8th birthday anniversary. The afternoon was enjoyed with a variety of party games, and Teddy's mother served delicious refreshments. The table was decorated in the Christmas theme, with snow men and Christmas cones for favors. A pretty birthday cake came in for a big share of the attention from the young folks. - i Helping Teddy celebrate his big day were Bobby Allinson, Judy Beatty, Bobby Warren, Pam Brady, Connie Underwood, Carla Dean, Flint Evans, Laurie McCabe, JoLyn Jameson, Charles Butler, Adele Nebeker, Janice Hansen, Ramona McIntyre, Wirth Sanderson, Robbie and Kathy Montoya and Valerie and Mike Bird. Mrs. Helen Ferris and Gertie Ann Bray assisted Mrs. Haynes. Ladies of Elks give banquet ' Ladies of Elks ushered in the Christmas Social season last Saturday evening when they celebrated at their annual Christmas banquet. Husbands of the ladies were special guests of the evening, as was the State President, Mrs. Nell Thompson of Park City, and the State Secretary, Mrs. Thelma Dorca and her husband Frank Dorca of Park City. President Robin McCabe comed the guests, and Grace Bernini, welvice-preside- nt said Grace. The banquet was served at 6:30 p.m. The tables were decorated in the Christmas colors with a centerpiece fashioned of various shaped boxes of white, tied with green rib bons topped with a reef flower complemented the colorful display. Favors were small red flannel socks, which held the silver service. The over-a- ll picture was very decorative and interesting. A large Christmas tree with bright ornaments was placed' at the head of the dining room, adding much to the spirit of the evening. ' State President Mrs. Thompson, gave a short talk - during the evening. Dancing rounded out the festive entertainment, and all attending report an enjoyable evening. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Frisby and daughter, Nancy, and Mrs. Max Larsen and two children, Jon and Connie Rae of Ruth, Nev., spent the weekend here with Mrs. Frisby's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Tuckett, and with Mr. and Mrs. Brennan conducts party the evenings entertainment, with LaRue Fox winning the Bingo and Raffle prizes. Hilda Webb was the winner of the 500 prize. Hannifin and family. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Tuckett were hosts at a birthday dinner for Mrs. Frisby. A turkey dinner and all the trimmings was served. Family ' The . members attending were the honored guest, Mrs. Frisby, Mr. Frisby and Nancy, Mrs. Larsen and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Brennan Hannifin, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hannifin and two children, Timmy and Margaret Ann, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bray.
