The audit covered the accounts of the city for a two year period, ending Dec. 31, 1937. In a letter to the City coun- cil Air. Wagstaff had the following to say among other things: "I desire to commend you for the official and business like manner in which your office has been maintained and operated the four years Airs. Webber has been in office. During that time over $200,-00- 0 had been received and disbursed by her and in making my audits I have found every dollar properly accounted for and complete accurate records maintained so that detailed reports could be made for your city and state auditors office. In my experience in auditing city accounts I have not found a more efficient and conscientious recorder and clerk. Eureka was being operated under a new administration, the keys of the city having been turned over to Alayor Neil O'Hare and the members of his council. The vacation started on December 23rd, thus giving both pupils and teachers a full two weeks vacation.
