Show December 13, 1957 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Bridge Club at Mrs. Franks' Home Mrs. Darrell Franks was hostess to the Bridge Club at her home on Wednesday evening of last week. Mrs. Lynn Brady was the winner of the first prize, Mrs. Richard Laird, the cut-priand Mrs. Ray Badertscher, the ze consolation. After the card games were concluded, Mrs. Franks served a tasty lunch to those named and to Mrs. J. A. Bernini, Mrs. Gerald Drussell, Mrs. Paul Hansen and Mrs. Frank Mr. and M rs. LaVar Bryson of Salt Lake spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bryson. They also visited in Goshen with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen. Mrs. Maud McIntyre returned Sunday from Santa Monica, Calif., where she has spent the past few weeks, visiting with her mother, Mrs. Harry Crezee. Mrs. Melvin Hansen Entertains Club Ladies of Elks Sponsor Christmas Banquet, Dance, Midnight Lunch Ladies of Elks celebrated at the Annual Christmas Banquet and dance at the Elk's Club rooms on Saturday, Dec. 7. General chairman for the nicely arranged affair was President Naomi Cushing. Dinner was served at 6:30 p.m. and the tables were decorated in clever Christmas designs, with place cards and favors, carrying out the Christmas theme. In charge of the pretty decorations were Mrs. Frank McCabe, chairman and Mrs. J. A. Bernini and Mrs. Thomas Judge. Special visitors were Mrs. Ray Lee, State President of Ladies of Elks, of Cedar City, who was accompanied by her husband, and Mr. and Mrs. John Quinn, also of Cedar City. Mrs. Quinn is the State Sec- retary for the organization. Mrs. Cushing welcomed the guests, and introduced them to the members and their partners. Page Seven Mrs. Melvin Hansen was hos- tess to the short welcoming address to themembers and their partners. Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Quinn also gave a few chosen remarks to the group. Dancing followed the banquet, and a buffet lunch Vas enjoyed at midnight. Elks and their partners joined in the dancing, and all report a most entertaining evening. Charity Ball Tintic Lodge, BPOE No. 711 are planning a Charity Ball to be held Christmas night, December 25, at the Tintic high school gymnasium. Reserve that date for an evening of fun, and remember that the proceeds go toward helping needy people in the district. Carl Fields who has spent a few weeks in Grants, New Mexico doing work for the Centennial Development Co., returned to Eureka last club at her home in Mammoth on Tuesday evening.
