Show December 13, 1957 THE EUREKA (UTAH) REPORTER Page Six Friends are welcoming Mrs. Martha Van Wagoner home again, after a stay of three weeks in the Payson Hospital, where she was confined following an accident. She will be unable to return to her work as Public Health Nurse for a few months, but just to have her home makes us all feel ter, Mr. and Mrs. Max Jerry Broun, a student at the University of Utah, spent Sunday here with his grandmother, Mrs. Mae Brown and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Franks made a business trip to Provo on Monday of this week. Elden Childs, who is employed in Salt Lake spent the weekend here with his Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bernini were Provo visitors on Monday evening of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Paxman and daughter, Maxhie were in Orem on Sunday, spending the day with Mr. and Mrs. Mark Fowden and children. Mrs. Fowden honored her mother at a birthday dinner. IN Mr. and Mrs. John Farren and two children left this week for Murray, where they will make a home. Mrs. Robert Thomas Is Club Hostess Holds Meeting The Entre Nous Literary Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Robert Silver Thomas. The review Berlin Ellin (Mrs. Platter, by was given by Irving Berlin) Mrs. Alex Blight. Mrs. Berlin wrote the story of her grandmothers life, Mrs. John Mac-kaand the fabulous riches made by the Mackay family at the Comstock Lode in Virginia City, Nevada. It was a most interesting review, and exceptionally well given. Following the review a rather lengthy discussion was held. Miners Union Auxiliary met in regular session on Wednesday evening of last week at the Miners Union Hall, with President Clara Gargett in charge. After the business of the evening was disposed, a social evening was enjoyed, and Bin-g- o were played. and 500 Mrs. Jewel McNeil won high score for 500 and Mrs. Rose Phipps the cut prize and Mrs. Garbett the Bingo prize. Alice Peart and Bernice Taylor, hostesses for the meeting served tasty refreshments. Miners Union y, Plans for the Christmas Party were completed. The party will be held at the home of the president, Mrs. Steele McIntyre in Mammoth on Saturday, Dec. 21. Stokes were in Provo last Saturday, combining business and pleasure. Mrs. Stokes remained there for a visit with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Whitford Bate.
