Show Bridge Club Conducts Meet The Bridge club met last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ted Johnson. High score was won by Mrs. Harry Dean, honor prize by Mrs. Alliene Farren, and the all-cby Mrs. Anna Franks. At the conclusion of the card games, Mrs. Johnson served a delicious lunch to those mentioned and to Mrs. Alden Childs, ut Mrs. Don Giles, Mrs. LeRoy Gourley, Mrs. Heber Cushing and Mrs. Floyd Nash. Mrs. Oscar Erickson Entertains Club Mrs. Oscar Erickson entertained the members of the 500" club at her home in Mammoth on Tuesday evening of this week. Prizes were won by Mrs. Dean Rose, high score; 2nd high by Mrs. Mel Hansen; the allcut by Mrs. James Toone and the consolation by Mrs. Chriss Sorensen. After cards, the hostess served dainty refreshments to those named and to Mrs. Charles Warren, Mrs. Clarence Ros-troMrs. Marie Berry and Mrs. Harold Sorensen. m, Ladies of at Social, Business Elks President Faye Wall presided at the meeting of the Ladies of Elks on Tuesday evening, held in the club rooms. A routine business session was held, and the members enjoyed a social evening of cards. Winners in the card games were Mrs. Heber Cushing, high score; Mrs. Frank McCabe, raf- fle and cut. President Marie Berry and the members decided to have hobby nights to add to the interest of the meetings. First Aid classes will be turned into a community project, and it is hoped that the residents will take advantage of this service, which is being advised all over the nation. The house prize was won by Mrs. Oscar Erickson and Mrs. Rusby served refreshments at the close of the business meeting. Miss Sonja Michell of Colorado Is Married to Keith Cushing, Eureka Announcement is made this week by Mr. and Mrs. James Brennan of the marriage of their daughter, Miss Sonja Mitchell of Inglewood, Colorado, and Keith Cushing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hebcr Cushing of Eureka. The marriage was performed Saturday, February 16, at the home of the brides parents. The bride is attending school at Inglewood, and the groom is a, graduate of Tintic High School and spent' four years in the U. S. Air Force. Since his release from the service he has been employed as carpenter in Inglewood, where the young couple will make a home. Big excitement at the Clelon (Cle) Ames home the reason, the birth of a baby boy, bom in the Payson hospital. The very welcome little boy checked in at 8 lbs. New mother, is the former Dorean Clement, daughter of Mrs. Agnes Clement, and proud father is the son of Mrs. Kate Ames, and both grandmothers are very pleased over the new arrival. Mrs. Ada Thompson of Eureka is the babys great grandmother. 15, .Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Butler were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hone and two children of Payson. Mrs. George Forsey under- -' went a major operation last Friday at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake. Latest reports are that she is as well as could be expected. Tintic Chapter OES Conducts Meeting The Monday evening of Tin-ti- e Chapter, OES was presided over by Worthy Matron, Patricia Brady and Worthy Patron, Alex. Blight. The routine order of business was followed, and members were happy to welcome to the meeting, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coombes of Orem, former residents of Tintic and members of the local Chapter. A tasty lunch was served by Nevers Vola and with that all important birthday cake, was served to the young folks. Helping Dean celebrate his Sue Bell, Margo Spencer, Mary and Ann Quigley and John Fitch. To make the day complete for Dean, his grandmother, Mrs. Hetty Laird and John Evans, drove up from Lehi for the day, and were honored guests at the tarty. Airs. Vern Nevers and Mrs. E. A. At 6 p.m. a delicious dinner was served to 14 ladies. Grace was offered by President Vola Nevers. The business meeting was opened by a prayer by Mrs. Nevers, who also gave the lesson, assisted by Pansy Treloar. The text of the lesson was All Children Faith in God. A lengthy discussion followed the lesson. Those present were: Mabel Butler, Patricia Brady, Frances Ewell, Alliene Farren, Edith Pendray, Nell Rowe, Annie Smith, Vola Nevers, Mrs. A. E.
