Mr. Trvy Kobrrti s Esther Halverson returned home during the week after spending two weeks with her children in the Salt Lake area. On May 6 she was honored for her 79th birthday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Labrum, Sandy. More than 100 friends visited her during the afternoon. Esther would like to thank her old and new friends for coming. She said many of the people who use to live in Neola and have moved into the Salt Lake area came for an afternoon of visiting. Also on Mother's day her son in law, Art Mitchell, Harriman honored her in his ward, s Mr. and Mrs. Jon Bingham and daughter visited over the weekend with Mi? arid Mrs. Melvin Bingham, s Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard have two new grandsons born during the past week, a boy was born May 12 in Salt Lake to Nick and Judy Treeweek. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and a boy born in the Duchesne County hospital to Pete and Joan Pickup, Randlett. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. Esther Halverson has received word of a great grandson born to Harold and Anna Mitchell Pbarson, Fairfield, Mont., May 14. He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz. He will be named Elroy Louis after his great grandfather Halverson. Brad Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Mitchell Harriman has received his mission call to go to the Philippines. His testimonial will be held May 27 in Harri- Mr. and Mr. Max Gilra and family, Salt lake, spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Defa. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jackson are the parents of a baby boy born Sunday May 20 in the Heber hospital. e Mr. and Mrs. Jay Giles are the parents of a baby girl born Thursday May 17, at Salt Lake. e Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Defa accompanied Bob Smiih to Ilcbcr Monday where they visited Florence Smith who is in the Iicbcr Hospital where they are taking tests. Graveside services will be held this weekend for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Turnbow who was still born in Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Mezenen, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Casper, Tracy Roberts, Dixie Smith, attended Memorial Services and mass at Roosevelt Wednesday night for Hugh Muholland who was killed in an oil rig accident Wednesday. He was Godfather of Kristy and Russel Casper and Melonie Mezenen. He was taken onto Grand Junction, Colo., Friday where they had services and he was buried. s Mr. and Mrs. Leon Casper and family left Sunday for Cedarview where they will camp. Leon is working there. Mr. and Mrs. Mick Jensen of St. George returned home Saturday for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. June Roberts went to Salt Lake Wednesday and visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Casper. They visited Dorothy Bertola in Provo and report she is feeling better. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Casper and family spent a couple days in Duchesne visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Roberts. But is a little bit better at this time. Seven young boys and girls from Neola ward graduated from four years Seminary Friday night. Sunday Joanne and Denise Horrocks went to Vernal to attend Bacca la urate service in the Uintah Stake Tabernacle. This is a service honoring ail graduating seniors. Joanne's sister Beverly Olsen is one of the Seniors. The Relief Society will hold their closing social Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Gardner, Rase Gardner and Thelma Orr went to Salt Lake Wednesday so LaMar could see his doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Williams and baby of Salt Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams and family this weekend. Troy Cook, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cook fell out of their truck onto the cement. He needed stitches in his forehead. Primary will not be held Monday May 28 because of Memorial Day, but will be held Thursday May 31 at 2:30 p.m. Rose Gardner and Thelma Orr went ' to Vernal Sunday where they enjoyed dinner and visiting during the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith of Los Angeles, Calif., who is visiting there with relatives.
