C., at 9:30 a.m., on January 18, at which the Forest Service of his Department will disclose a lost of roadless areas, primarily in the West, tentatively proposed for study as Wildernesses. Invitations to this briefing are being sent to conservation, industry, governmental, and Congressional leaders, as well as the press. Chief John R. McGuire of the Forest Service pointed out that the tentative selection of areas for Wilderness study culminates five years of activity in invenacres of roadless torying about areas in the acres of National Forests and in identifying prime candidates for such study. Chief McGuire said the tentative list will be sent soon, with an environmental statement, to the President's council on Environmental Quality.
