Keith Lloyd gets call Keith Lloyd has accepted a call to serve In the Northern States LDS Mission. This will be a Spanish Mission and he will enter the Mission Home August 26 and the following week will enter the Language training course at BYU for eight weeks before going to the Illinois area. He Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnon Lloyd of loka. He graduated from Union high school and attended Brigham Young University the past school year. Wlmmer, son of Harold and Lucille Wlmmer was Injured two weeks ago while operating a dozer on the Red Cloud Road north of Vernal. He suffered a broken neck and collar bone when a tree fell on him. He is In St. Mark's hospital and will be there for at least another month before transferring to University Hospital for therapy treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rhodes are the parents of a baby boy born Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Roosevelt hospital. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and will be named Larry D. Jr. They have four other children, a girl and three boys. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Rhodes from Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Young from Kanab. Mrs. Arnold Rhodes came to visit for a few days last week. Curtis and Carol Cloud Visiting over the weekend were Darrel and Betty Gibbs and children Jerry and Kathy from Yuma, Ariz. Mrs. Alary Forman and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Forman and family visited over the weekend wlthMr. and Mrs. Jerry Burdick. They attended the Knight family reunion at the Roosevelt City Park. Mrs. Maxine Burdick and Melanie Young attended the Cowan family reunion in Payson on Sunday. Mrs. Hlldur Brooks has been In the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake for the past ten days for treatment. She Is reported Improving. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Day and Air. and Airs. Phillip Morton left Saturday for a two week trip up the west coast and Into Canada. Mr. and Airs. County fair rodeo queen to be named The Duchesne County Fair Rodeo Queen contest will be held Tuesday, Aug. 22 at at the Duchesne County Rodeo 7 p.m. Gronds. A queen and attendants will lie selected at this time. The queen must be 17 years of age or older and the attendants must be 14 years of age or older. All contestants must be unmarried. They will be judged on horsemanship, appearance and personality.
