We were pleased to note from the letters that both schools did clean up the language somewhat from the original script, and we compliment them on this action. It was our observation last week that still more cleaning could have been done without destroying the value of the play. One of the letters does leave an erroneous Implication with the reader, though, which we would like to correct. We did not attend the play at Union. Wo had one evening available and since It has been our custom to support as near as possible all high schools within our coverage area, we elected to attend the play at Duchesne. This Is probably the basis of much of the uproar last week, since It was felt by some that we had no right to comment without having seen the play. All week, the halls were decorated. Thursday after school, the cheerleaders sponsored a poster party. Wednesday afternoon, Jr. high cheerleader tryouts were held. "Flnlan's Rainbow" will be presented to the public Friday November 19 and Saturday November 20. There will also be afternoon performances Tuesday and Wednesday for the elementarles and possible junior highs. The production Is under the direction of Mr. Murell Johnson. Last week was Spirit week at UHS. The classes put up posters In the hallways. These posters were judged and the junior class recieved $15 for being the winners.
