Show Sid Dyal wed Rockwood-Shelle- y M Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Ray Rockwood were honored at a reception held March 13 at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Warren Dyal in Lincoln City, Ore. The young couple was married March 11 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Elder Murley B. Christensen officiating in the rites. The couple exchanged rings. The bride is the former Shelley Dyal. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. Nielsen, Roosevelt. The wedding party were guests at a luncheon held at the Doll House in Salt Lake. A color scheme of blue, white and gold was carried out In the large serving table bouquet, the entrance hall bouquet and the mantle arrangement of mums, roses and snapdragons. The bride wore a white gown of organza and heavy Irish lace with satin ribbon insert. The gown was an Alfred Angelo original and featured a long train with satin ribbon streamers. Her hat was a matching Juliet style created by the brides mother. Her shoes were a white crinkle pattern. She carried a bouquet of white tearoses and baby breath In a cascade style. Her maid of honor was Kathleen Davis, a former BYU room mate with Louise Rockwood a sister of the bridegroom as bridesmaid. They wore long gowns of pale blue crepe with white satin rope belts. Bouquets were yellow daisy mums with baby breath and white streamers. The mother of the bride wore a yellow silk with blue paisley and floral designs and the mother of the bridegroom wore a gold brocade with a gold pin holding a long shoulder scarf. Both wore long gardenia corsages. Timothy Rockwood was best man. The wedding cake was all white two-ti- er decorated with roses It was placed on a blue covered table and was cut with an ornate sterling silver knife tied with stephanotis and white ribbon. In charge of serving were Mrs. Helen Houston, Mrs. Kathy Thurman, Miss Terry Kay Dllworth, Miss Lorro Ann Dllworth, Miss Lorraine Dahle. Friendship Club meets The Duchesne Friendship Club was held at the home of Marie Baum Wednesday evening. A delicous lunclieon was served to 8 members after which a game, Help your Neighbor" was played. High prize was won by May Wilson and Low by Zella Grant. Neighborhood Sewing Mrs. Woodrow Nielsen entertained the members of the Neighborhood Sewing Club. The evening was spent sewing and doing other hand work. A salad luncheon was enjoyed. ureen Rockwood. They are making their home In Corpus Chrlstl, Tex. In June they will move to Brunswick, Maine where the bridegroom will be a U. S. Navy pilot. The parents of the bridegroom also gave an open house the evening they were married. It was at the home of Josephine Layton In Salt Lake and the same color scheme of blue white and gold was carried out. Family of Grace Hale meets in Duchesne A family was held at the home of Mrs. Grace Hale over the weekend. This was the first time In several years they had all been together. Mrs. Hale was born August 25, 1881 and will soon celebrate her 90th birthday. Slie came to the Uintah Basin In 1906 with her hustiand, Frank and they homesteaded In Midview . They later moved to Blue Bench aliove Duchesne where tliey both were employed by Knight Investment Co. Still later they bought a home In Duchesne where she still resides. Mr. Hale died in 1940. Mrs. Hale is still an active member of the Relief Society and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served many years as a teacher In Sunday School and Relief So- ciety. She Is the mother of 6 daughters, five of which are still living. They are Myrtls Buckalew and Mrs. Marie Pope, Duchesne; Irene Schroder, Riverton; Phoeber Giles, Ogden and Dla Sanford, Talmage. She also has 21 grandchildren, 56 Florence Pectol, Ednalee May Hamilton, Jayne Kay Shelley, W. Russell Todd, Alton Brighton, Marie Miller, Donna Miller, Michelle Buchanan, Mark Ferguson, Katherine Taylor, James K. Duke, Murel Benson.
