U off U honor roll Three former Union high school students and one from Altamont high school were among the 1450 students named to the Winter 1971 quarter honor roll at the University of Utah. To be named to the honor list a student must maintain a average of 3.5 or better in all academic subjects where 4.0 Is the equivalent of an "A". Those so listed are Drew B. Dlllinan, a Junior In the college of Social and Behavioral Science; Kathy Lynne Harmston, a Freshman In the College of Education and David W. Poore a graduate student In the College of Engineering, all from Union high. Also Earl Steven Coombs, a Junior In the College of Physical Education. Heola race meet set for May 8 and May 15 Neola Racing Association will hold their innual race meet Saturday May 8 and Saturday May 15, with trials In the Quarter Horse Futurity and other races being run the 8th. The finals in the futurity will be run May 15, along with a Quarter Horse Derby and other races. The Quarter Hone futurity should be a good one this year with an estimated purse of $850.00 going to the winners, said race officials. Eligible entries in the futurity include Miss Rachel by the famous Stallion Mula Miss Rachel is owned by Chet Bux. Henderson of Neola, he Is also running Miss Neola by Verda Active and out of a Real Hug Mare. Jim Smith is running Miss Rosy by Real Hug and out of a Poco Jim Mare. Wane Workman has entered Holey Bonny Sox by Holey Sox out of a Semotan Streak Mre. She Is a full sister to a Winner of the Diamond Hills Futurity in Vernal. Kay Winn is running Trapper Bars by Charter Bars and out of a Seven Bars mare. Trapper Bars is a full brother to Can Can Bars, last years furltlty winner. Kay has also entered Scatter K Bars by Charter Bars. A. C. Wllkerson is running Robin Bars by Bib Robin and out of a Real Hug Mare. Ferrell Crozler has entered Romeo Ruler by Sklpp Ruler and out of an Aintwr Brand mare. Romeo Ruler and his mate were the winners of the Uinta Cutter Association Futurity this year. Lee Goodrich is running an unnamed colt by Dukes Winn and out of an Amlier Brand Mare. Keith Davis is running Three bar Jag by Bar Jag and out of a Johnny Dial mare. Ivan Ross has entered Uintah Queen by Amber Brand and out of a Bee Jay King Mare. Hal Robblns, former (Qjl resident of Roosevelt won a trip to Washington D. c. to the national "Bowl Your Way to Europe" bowling tournament to be held May 29. He won by bowling the highest score over average, 50 pins over with C2 contestants in the Salt Lake area. Hp will fly, all expenses paid, by American Air Lines to Washington D. C. with hotel accomodations for two nights. Ted Fisher has returned home from having heart surgery. He is doing fine at this time. Mrs. Vera Holder spent most of last week visiting with her daughter and family the Garth Sar gents.
