Area Supervisor Joyce Johnson and Area captain Barbara Nielson of the Utah TOPS Clubs gave information on changes and new rules for TOPS. Mrs. Johnson said that no one was allowed to go to a weight doctor and still qualify for the various weight losing prizes given at TOPS meetings. However If your physician recommends diet pills It Is alright but you should not accept prizes as this is not folr to other members who are losing the sensible way. Mrs. Nielson spoke to the group concerning KOPS State Recognition day, graduation and registrations. Mrs. Dolores Burke, Vernal, gave a party foods demonstration. These foods were served to the club members. She also demonstrated several Christmas Ideas. There were 19 members and three guests, Mrs. Don Wlnterton, Mrs. Ronald Egan and Mrs. John Jorgensen. The new Soclalette Club trio members are Colleen Mantyla, Lanls Dastrup and Diane Buxton. for Penney Days! Mothers Club meets The Duchesne Mothers Club was held home of Idella Allen Thursday night with Caring Jean Usonbee as cohostess. Dona Hansen gave a report on the book A dessert "Fascinating Womanhood. luncheon was served to 24 members and 3 guests. Visiting here recently with members was Mrs. Cam Saxer who now resides in California. She organized the Mothers Club some 30 years ago for the purpose of betterment and culture for the women In this area. Her husband is the late Dr. Saxer who was the physician here when the C C camp was located East of Duchesne. at the Auxiliary to meet The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 64 will hold a meeting tor all members on WeAiesday Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. Guest speaker will be District Commander Clarence Jones, who represented District Mine at the National Convention at Portland, Ore. Plans for Veterans Day dinner will be discussed. Club Just-A-Me- re re Mrs. Richard Adams hosted the Bridge Club at her home, Thursday evening. Guests were Mrs. Marlon Felter and Mrs. Verlen Labrum. She served a dessert luncheon. The evening was spent playing bridge. Mrs. Labrum, Mrs. Clair Larsen, Mrs. Grant Killian and Mrs. Ida Harrison won the prizes. Newlyweds at a reception Nuptials revealed Storey-Taylo- r Suzanne Storey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Storey of Vernal, formerly of Duchesne, became the bride of Ronald D. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Taylor of Duchesne, Sept. 18 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Among the friends and relatives witnessing the ceremony were Mrs. James L. Taylor and Mrs. Alden Hamblin, Sprtng-vlll- e. A reception In the Gllnes Ward chapel honored the couple that evening. th The bride wore a white satin wedding gown with high collar, toll sleeves with buttoned cuffs, designed and made by herself. The veil of elbow length lace was held In place by 2 white satin roses fastened In her hair. She carried a bouquet of a white orchid with rosebuds. Goldie Taylor, sister of the groom attended the bride as Maid of Honor, brides- maids were Cherrle Southern and LoaKay ' Bowthorpe. The attendants wore red dacron dotted swlss street length dresses and each carried 1 longstemmed red rose. The mother of the bride wore a street length red Jumper with lace trimmed blouse. Mother of the groom wore a street length dark pink silk dress. Both wore corsages of red roses. Terry Wllkerson, performed duties of best man. Ushers were Randy Taylor and Duane Taylor. Floral arrangements were red, white and pink gladioli, red snapdragons and red geraniums. The white wedding cake of was decorated with red roses winding up toll-leng- R was topped the sides of the cake. with a bride and groom. Assisting at the reception were Beth Ann Rust. Mrs. Norman Fletcher was at the guest book. Mrs. Alden Hamblin and Mrs. D. C. Grammer, sisters of the bride were at the gift table while Toni Sue Grammer, Connie Taylor, Cheryl and Annalee Burns were gift bearers. Kerri Workman, Norma Begay, Sharon Burns and Clarice Cesspooch served. In the kitchen were Mrs. Clyde Burns, Mrs. Ned Reynolds, Mrs. John Price, Mrs. Clayton Slaugh, Rebecca Burns and Nancy Slaugh. Cutting the wedding cake for serving was done by hire. Lynn Slaugh. Lowell Wardle was master of ceremonies of the following program; song, were sung by April Fletcher, Karen Curtis and Wendy Weber accompanied by Mrs. Clayton Curtis. Two songs were composed and sung by Howard Taylor, brother of the groom, accompanying himself on the guitar; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Caldwell sang accompanied by Mrs. "Hap Cook. A reading of Advice to Bride was given by Mrs. Ray Searle. Lee Ann Weber sang with Mrs. Paul Jensen at the plana Toni Sue Grammer sang with Karen Curtis playing the plana Special out of town guests Included the brides grandmother, Mrs. Waleta Morrow of Grand Valley, Colo., the brides brothers, Rod of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., and Edward of Logan. Close family friend, Dave Julius of Claremont, Calif., Beth Ann Rust, Morgan; Mr. and Mrs. Stan Taylor, Salt Lake; also David Shurtleff and Cynthia Burton, missionary companions of the groom. A kitchen shower was given for the bride-to-- be hosted by April Fletcher, Karen Curtis, Lee Ann and Wendy Weber at the Norman Fletcher home. A personal shower was given the bride elect by Cherrle Southern at the Southern home In Naples. At the close of the program a poster consisting of pictures of the newlyweds "growing up years was presented to them by Mrs. D. C. Gram- Elegant robes of nylon tricot quilted to Kodel poly- ester.
