Show n Funeral held for Mrs. Eliza P. K. Nielson (' ' k. STANDARD - Roosevelt, Utah Thursday, September 11, 1969 Funeral services were held Saturday the Lapolnt Ward chapel tor Mrs. Eliza Pearl Kump Nielson, 88, who died Sept. 2 In a Vernal hospital after a short Illness. She was born May 4, 1881 In Chester, Sanpete County, to Zacharlah and Mary Howard Kump. She married Jacob Nielson July 17, 1901 In Mantl, He died May 8, 1942. She moved to the Uintah Basin In 1910 and was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors Include sons and daughters, lamont and Vernon, Brigham City; Travers, Lasell, Mrs. Frank (Ardlth) In Church were conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. with Mr. Don Davey of the Cene- nary United Methodist Church of Salt Lake City In the Pulpit. Special music was a vocal solo by Mrs. Robert George, accompanied by Mrs. Gladyes Dart. At the close of the service a social hour Huber and lor, 47 Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. In the Roosevelt Ward Chapel for Samuel R. Page, 85, who died I Sept. 4 In a Roosevelt nursing home of I causes incident to age. He was born Feb. 12, 1884 at Mt. Pleasant, Sanpete County, a son of Joseph and Alice Mills Page. He married Lydia Jane McHemonds March 23, 1910 In Vernal. The marriage was later solemnized In the Salt Lake Temple. She died May 22, 1964. Mr. Page was one of the very few persons still living who homesteaded In the Roosevelt area In 1905. He was a member of the LDS Church, a High Priest,; has served a stake mission and was a farmer, stockman and had a bee aviary. Survivors Include sons and daughters, Joseph, Mrs. Ted (Hazel) Jensen, both Roosevelt; John, Ballard, Ronald, Salt lake; Mrs. Verl (Phyllis) Chapman, Mrs. Joseph (Gertrude) Moysh, both North Highlands, Calif.; Morris M., Fairfield, Calif.; 25 grandchildren, 33 a sister, Mrs. Eulela Nielson, Castle Dale, Emery County. Mrs. Elaine Hulllnger played the prelude and postlude organ music. Tom a sister, Loren Axtell, Sanpete County; Dean and Mrs. Edna Olsen, Rupert, Ida. Members of the Myton Ward MIA enjoyed a hayrlde and an outdoor social Tuesday evening. About sixty members enjoyed a pot luck supper. The trailer home of Mr. and Mrs. Creg Oaks was moved from Vernal and Is now located on the Clark Abegglen property south of town. Mrs. Oaks Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abegglen. At Sacrament meeting Sunday evening the Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Roberts was blessed by his grandfather, Louis Roberts, and given the name Leo Joseph. They were returning from a trip to Ft. COlllns, Colo. Mrs. Esther Burton Is visiting members of her family In Salt Lake. Members of the Monday bridge club were guests at the home of Mrs. Grace Dalglelsh Monday afternoon. A dessert luncheon was served. An afternoon of bridge was enjoyed and prizes were to Mrs. Hair Ashton and Mrs. Darrell Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Talton and children from Salt Lake were guests on Saturday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jorgensen. Mr. and Mrs. Quint Pickup, Price, brought their son, Russell, home to enter school and enjoyed visiting with relatives over the weekend. Douglas Brough,' son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Brough, who has been stationed in Ft Ord, Calif, with the armed forces. Is home on a furlough. Mr.' and Mrs. Dennis Shiner and children from Salt Lake visited at the hoipe of their parents, Mr, and Mrs. Jess Jensen for the Labor Day weekend. Sandra Brough and Judl Rogers have both moved to Salt Lake to attend Beauty College this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hayes, Duchesne visited at the home of a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. Heber Harrison and daughter, Verda, visited at the home of a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rogers Sunday afternoon. Anderton gave the opening prayer; James E. Bacon and Hollis G. Hulllnger were speakers. Musical numbers were sung by Curtis Dastrup and by Mrs. Curtis Dastrup, Mrs. Clarln Ashby and Mrs. Murell Johnson accompanied by Mrs. Terry Buxton. Rulon Anderton gave the closing prayer. Van Wlnterton dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Tom Anderton, Reed Anderton, Joe Page, Robert Page, Ronnie Page, and Glen Lee Page. Prayer at the mortuary was given by Lloyd Zagar, Mark Oberhansly gave the opening prayer, Bishop Roy Gardner read the oblturay. Lionel Jensen and Evan Olsen were speakers. Musical numbers were given by Richard Stelnfeldt, Dorothy Luck and Ferris Henrle. Ivan Bastlan give the benediction and Bishop Gardner dedicated the grave at the Vernal Memorial Park. Mrs. Floyd Nielsen and Mrs. William Fausett were hostesses, Thursday evening at the Myton Ward chapel as they honored Mrs. Newell Rlchens at a baby shower.
