Show Hackford-Va- reunion n 313 members of the Hackford-Va- n family attended a reunion held August 30 at the Jenkins Park in Uintah Some Canyon. New officers were elected with Mrs. Whitehead as president; EdSonny mond Van, Murray as and Mrs. Colin Murdock, secretary. The bride is the former Marea Jeane Todd. They were married August 26 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lynn N. Murdock, an uncle of the bride, officiated in the double ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Todd, are parents of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Grossnlckle, Oregon City, Ore., are parents of the bridegroom. Members of the bridal party were guests at a wedding breakfast held at the Doll House in Salt Lake. For her wedding and reception the lovely bride wore a crepe gown with an empire waistline and long sleeves. & had a lace coat. Her veil was of illusion and she carried a bridal bouquet of white roses and a huge mum. Mrs. Dale Wright was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Carol Rasmussen and Mrs. Dennis Jensen. They wore blue and green print gowns similar in design to that worn by the bride. Each carried a long stemmed blue mum. They honeymooned in Washington and Oregon. An open house was held Sept. 8 in Oregon. They will make their home in Provo where both will resume their studies at Brigham Young University. Both have attended BYU and both have filled IDS Missions to the Great Lakes Mission. Mrs. Thurman Peterson is recovering at home following major surgery at IDS Hospital in Salt Lake. She returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Peterson visited Salt Lake, Saturday. Mrs. Lynn Wyatt and two children of Tooele visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olsen, over the weekend. She returned home Tuesday. Ardell Olsen, Salt Lake, is spending two weeks of vacation and business with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston and son returned to Roosevelt, Thursday after spending about three years In Lands tuah, Their young son is named Germany. Gordon Eugene in but Is called Buff. Among the new teachers who are teaching In Duchesne Co. are Marilyn Smith, Blackfoot, Idaho and Susan Wren, Richfield. They are teaching at Myton and are guests of Mrs. Melba Hanson. -Mr. and Mrs Otto Uoyd enjoyed a recent visit with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Garn Uoyd. Springville. They also attended the Day reunion at Draper Park. All of the brothers and sisters were In attendence. Then they went to Logan to visit Mr. and Mrs. Howard Uoyd and family and returned home Tuesday of last week. Paula Murphy left recently for Provo where she wUl teach school at the Provo school this winter. Mr. and Mrs. George Fenn returned home Thursday Aug. 29, after spending about a month In Salt Lake. Mr. Fenn spent most of the time In the St. Marks hospital following an operation. Their son Thurlow brought' them home and Norman drove their car to Roosevelt.
