Kathy Roberts went to Midway Monday July 28 to stay with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Balmforth and help care fur their child24 to from BPW convention visit Mrs. Joesphlne Yergensen, State president of the Business and Professional Womens Milllcent Slaxine Clubs; Natchess, State BPW Young Career Woman and Mrs. Adelyn Logan, state parliamentarian, returned last week from St. Louis where they attended the National BPW convention. Mrs. Yergensen reported that some new features were brought before the members which will help them during the coming year. Miss Natcliees made a motion that the Young Career Women be recognized in SO years Just as the members from 50 years ago were recognized during the convention this year. Their names have liecn recorded so they will be more easily contacted. Mrs. Yergensen submitted the name of Mrs. Faye Jensen to be an area representative to the National Business Woman magazine. This is a major innovation and is a plan for greater utilization of the National Business Woman. The area representative will work closely with local clubs, state federations and the national editor. They have lieen chosen to close the gaps between the ideal and the practical application of bringing the pertinent news to BPW members of the nation. ren. Newlyweds Mr. and Mora. Beverly Whiting, Lynn Allie are married reception In the Neola Ward Church honored newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Aaron Allie, Friday evening. The bride is the former Beverly WMting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whiting, Rt. 1, Roosevelt and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin J. Allie, Tooele. They were married July 28 in Elko, Kev. with a double ring ceremony. Lighted pedestals topped with arrangements of pink carnations and white and pink gladioli and fern set the decor for the reception. For her reception the bride wore a traditional gown of french lace and tulle ruffles over bridal satin. It featured a bouffant skirt and long sleeves with a scalloped neckline. A rhinestone crown held her veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet with an orchid surrounded by stephanotis and pink roses. JoAnn Whiting was maid of honor with Myrna CoK&dl, Yoma Whiting, Pauline Durfey and Michelle Durphy as bridesmaids. They wore cotton gowns with white and pink daisies and a pink stripe. Each carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The flower girl carried a basket of posies. The mother of the bride wore a light green crepe with white lace in front and the bridegrooms mother wore a hot pink lace gown. Both wore corsages of pink A roses. Marvin R. Allie performed duties of best man and ushers were Von Whiting, Blaine Whiting and Glen Durfey. The five-tierwedding cake was iced in white with white and pink rosebuds, lilies of the valley, and swans as decora- ed tions as well as live carnations. It was topped by an arrangement of wedding bells. Assisting with serving were Debbie Alice Mecham and Susan Mecham, Crozler. In charge of gifts were Mrs. Nell Warren, Mrs. Ervin Dennis and Mrs. Wayne Staffers. Sara McKee pre- sided at the guest book. Hank Swain emceed a program consisting of a song by Dorothy Luck, an selection by Mrs. Norman Goodrich; a musical by the Malnar family and a song by Richard Stlenfeldt. Larry Neilsen had the misfortune of having a horse rear back with him. He was pinned under the horse and it broke his pelvis in three places. The accident happened in Provo.
