US SALT LAKE CITY, VOLUME 10 NUMBER 46 ROOSEVELT, DUCHESNE COUNTY, UTAH - County hospital board to be named by county commission 64066 THURSDAY, NOV. 11. 1066 Stores may close for Friday Bazaar Friday or 3rd ward Did you know that the White House In Washington, D. C. was designed by an Irlsh- man, James Hoban of Dublin; built on land purchase ed from a Scot, farmer Davy Burns, In a location chosen by a Frenchman, Major Pierre Charles V Enfant. Its architecture Includes elements of Greek and Roman. It typifies one nation with many origins. Perhpas some of you noticed the paper a cou the boners In pie of weeks ago, In the political ads. We didn't want to comment of them until after the election. In order to preclude any element of selling a candidate (We did notice that every candidate that was In' volved In a boner, was re' elected, however). In the full page Democratic ad, the picture of Lawrence Luck was Inadvertantly omitted. This wasnt so bad, but what was the shocker was the fact that somehow the last paragraph of the story concerning a clinic which was to be held in the area, got placed under the blank hole where the pic ture should have been, Instead of Mr. Lucks name. This In Its self wasnt so bad, either, except for the fact that the paragraph listed the names of two psychiatrists, as If they were a necessary part of the Democratic ticket. Another error, in an advertisement for D. Blayne Morrill, switched pictures around a little and came out with a photo of Blayne s uncle, Reed Morrill. They were both good looking gentlemen, however, and Blayne got elected again to the county commission. First thing we know, people will be asking us to make mistake in their at so they can be elected. The Third Ward Relief Society Bazaar will be Friday, November 18 beginning at 8p.m. with a dinner. Other activities Include a fish pond, needlecraft and baked goods sale. Mrs. Ralph Shields, president. Invites everyone to attend.
