Show sss myton by Grace Dalglelsh Richens family has reunion here Saturday Eighty member of the family ot Mrs. Arthema Richenr came from Mt. Pleasant, Gunnison, Eden, Salt Lake City. Murray, Kearns and Logan Saturday to greet their mother and join family members residing in Myton and other points in the Basin. The family gathered at the Myton Elementary gymnasium for their reunion, where they enjoyed a delicious dinner, a program, dancing and had the opportunity to visit other members of their family, many of whom they had not seen for a long time. Among the local family members attending were Mr. and Mrs. Aften Richens and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McKenna and their familiea Other sons who came for the reunion were Thurlo, Marvin, Lenor, John. Arlo, and Lowell, who, with their families, joined the local group. Two members of Mrs. Rich-en- 's family who were unable to be present were Velma Riggs of Goldfield. Kcv., and Ervin Richens of Murray. The family is in hopes they will be able to repeat the reunion next year. Members of the priesthood of the Myton LDR Ward joined in an outing Saturday. They toured the way of Midway where they visited the Hot Pots. The group consisted of 26 fathers and sons and supervisors, which included Clark Abcgglcn, James Duke, B. L. Workman and Larry Ross. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Roberts were Mrs. Roberts' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Rus-so- n of Orem, also a couple of old friends, Mr. and Mrs. Dale who Koffard, accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry enjoyed a weekend visit from their daughter, Mrs. John Oreno, who came from SLC. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Babcock enjoyed a visit from their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Babcock and children, who came from SLC for a weekend visit. Sarah Jo remained for a longer visit with her grandparents as her parents and brother returned home. Mr. and Mrs. A .F. Henrik sen, Sr., are enjoying a visit from Mrs. Myrtle Rogers of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who will here till Wednesday. Mrs. n. Rogers is a sister of Mrs. Hcn-rikse- Mrs. Gladys Dart was hostess Thursday afternoon at the Grill in Roosevelt to members of the Birthday Club and other friends. A delicious dinner was served to Ruth Murray, Sarah Brokaw, Edith Gentry, Esther Burton, Grace Dalgleish, Laura Preece, Rosabell Morrison, Mrs. W. S. Anderson and Dora Griffin. As Mrs. Darts birthday came in the month of May, each club member presented her with a birthday gift. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Dennis were their daughter and granddaughters. Mrs. Don Raw-so- n and Brenda and Rhonda, who came from SLC for a short visit. The Elders yuorum of the Myton ward honored. Stewart Dennis Friday evening under the direction of the Elders presidency, Keith Mortensen, Morris Jenkins and Clifford McKenna. Games were enjoyed and the following program was presented: reading, Chester Mathisen; vocal trio, Charlotte, Julie and Irene Dennis; piano solo, Kay Johnson; piano solo, Sandra Crapo. Refreshments were enjoyed during the evening and everyone honored the young missonary who will enter the Mission Home in Suit Lake City Monday. The Sunday morning service was conducted at the Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with Thomas Gentry presenting a Are You layman's service a Square?" It brought forth very interesting thought. Members of the Ladies' Aide will gather at the Presbyterian Church Tuesday, to participate in a quilting bee. Duane Perry who is attending Trade Tech School in SLC was a weekend visitor at the ranch home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry. Mrs. Loryn Ross and two ch.ldren, Bret and Vicki, were Salt Lake City visitors Friday, when Vicki received medical attention. Mrs. Ross's niece, Linda Ross, also accompanied th family group. TABIONA by Florence Turnbow Rites held for Moroni Chatwin services were held Saturday May 14 for Moroni Henry Chatwin of Tabiona, 65, who died May 10 in a Salt Lake hospital of natural causes. He was born December 18, 1000, in Hebcr, a son of Chauncey Charles and Elizabeth Marie Giles Chatwin. He married Ber-thM. Sweat, who later died. He married Louise E. Lcbclt, in January 1943, in Duchesne, later divorced. He was a member of the LDS church. He lived in Tabiona most of his life, except for the last few years. Surviors include sons and daughters, Rex M., Jerome, Ida.; Alvin, of Oak Harbor, Wash.; Douglas. Hazelton. Ida.; Mrs. C. N. (Barbara) Barr, Bilker, Ore.; step daughters. Mrs. Duane (Alta) Larkin, Hazelton; Mrs. Ronald (Caroline) Ginea, Mineral Wells, Tex.; 24 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Horace, Salt Lake; Mrs. May Langdon, Salt Lake; Mrs. Fred (Selena) Wooley, Tabiona; and Thorpe, Orem, and Clifton, Midway. Pall bearers were Duane Chatwin, Erick Chatwin, Elver Langdon, Rulon Wooley, Russell Packsman. Prayers were by Claude Wagstaff, Kenneth Car-lil- e and Ted Nye, and dedication of the grave was by Leo Funeral at Turnbow. Prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Carleen Williams. Other music included a duel by Mrs. Winona Lefler and Mrs. Florence Roberts, accom-I'anie- d by Mrs. Williams; solo, Mrs. Rene Morin, accompanied by her daughter, Marilee. Speakers were Dale Gines and Uemell Turnbow, with remarks by Bishop Thomas Fabrizio. Tabiona Relief Society assisted in caring for the flowers and served lunch to the relatives after the service, to around 70 relatives from out of town who came to the services. DPI organization elected new officers at their lost meeting, held at the home of Mrs. Thelma Nyes. Tiie new officers met with the school board last week to ask for more improvement around the school grounds, and another vice-captain- Gut-goin- vice-preside- Out-goin- small bus. Mrs. Clista Defa was taken to Salt Lake for a few days where she has been under the doctors care. Her husband brought her home Saturday.
