Numerous terraces and lookout stations are provided in the building and these, together with the observation tower on the top, will be provided with luxurious lounging furniture which will enable guests to see the Grand Canyon with the ultimate of ease and comfort. Trails for the hikers are being constructed to all points of interest. Pure mountain spring water will be supplied in abundance from Koaring Spring, 4,000 feet below the canyon rim. A hydroelectric power plant will be constructed on Bright Angel creek, utilizing water power to generate electricity, which in turn will be used to power the pumps for the water supply, and to furnish light for the entire enterprise.
