Show THE CITIZEN 12 Parties in Order In honor of the crowd of young folk home for the Christmas holidays, a number of parties have been plan. ned, Miss Euphemia Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrsl George Harris Smith, will, give a tea in honor of the young girls home from college at the home of her parents, 5 Laurel street, on December 28, from 4 until 6 oclock. Among the honored guests will be Miss Jeanette Steiner, guest of Miss Ruth Fabian, Miss Katherine Hogle, Miss Ruth Fabian, Miss Genevieve Bird, Miss Eleanor Story, Miss Nancy Sullivan, Miss Janet Walker, Miss Mary Joy Johnson and Miss Clarice Ellis. A large dancing party at the Malcolm Keyser country home in Cottonwood will be given December 26 by Mrs. Malcolm Keyser and Mrs. Geo. Keyser in honor of their sons Malcolm, George and James, who have arrived home from school for the holidays. Malcolm came from Andover and George and James from Colorado. Invitations to a buffet supper party - honoring the young collegiates, have been issued by Seaton Prince for December 28 at the home of his parents, Major and Mrs. F. A. Prince on Arlington Drive. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper A. McCaskell will give a dancing party on Christmas eve at their home on East First South street for their son Billie who arrived Thursday from the Choate school in Wallingford, Conn., where he has been for the past term. A Charming Visitor Among the most charming of visitors to Salt Lake is Mrs. Julian Sie-gel- , who with Mr. Siegel is visiting his mother, Mrs, Solomon Siegel, at her home in the Bransford apart-ments. General and Mrs. Ralph Van Dieman at the post hall. General Van Deman recently was appointed commandant of the Sixth infantry brigade, with temporary headquarters at Ft. Douglas, and will leave shortly for his permanent post at Ft. Rosecrans, California. The post hall was gay with decorations suggestive of the yuletide spirit, gaily, decorated Christmas trees being placed in the room and scarlet candles and formal Christmas baskets of greens and red berries decorated the small tables. Mrs. Siegel is receiving much left on Wednesday for San Francisco where they will spend several months with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Morton Cheeseman and son, Moreton Edward, will leave Sunday for Los Angeles, to spend the holidays with their daughteir, Betty. Mrs. W. H. Hahlo, wlio has" spent the past few months with her and daugter, Mr. and Mrs, Julian Bamberger, left during the week for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Bardie in Seattle. Christmas Travel Traveling at Christmas time is not the exclusive privilege of the younger set it would seem from the number of their elders who are coming and going for the holidays. Mrs. Sam Park left last Sunday for Stamford, Conn., where she will visit and daughter, Mrs. H. her W. Sturgis, and her son, Sam Park, who is in New York. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Kearns returned during the week from California, where they have spent the past fortnight. Mrs, Francis Clark of Camden, N. J., arrived on Friday to spend the holidays with her son and law,, Mr.. and Mrs. John Elliot Clarke. Judge and Mrs. Morris L. Ritchie left during the week for Boston where they will join their daughter Elizabeth and. Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Moore. They will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Ritchie in Newton Center before returning to Salt Lake. Miss Francis McCready of Ogden arrived to be the Christmas guest of Dean and Mrs. W. W. Fleetwood. Mrs. Dorothy Wadsworth and small daughter Mary left to join her mother, Mrs. H. V, Platt, in Hollywood for the holidays. Mrs. Henry Gordon Rand, who has been visiting in Annapolis, will arrive Christmas eve to be the guest of her sisters, the Misses Hempstead, at their home on North Main street. Mr. and Mrs. Reginald J. Fry have Christmas. Miss Betty Perkins and Miss Hilde-gard- e Thompson, Salt Lake girls who are studying at the University of Lyons in France, will spend Christmas in Nice, France, with Miss Charlotte Remington, an artist, and former schoolmate of Miss Perkins mother, Mrs. P. O. Perkins, They will tour Italy during January. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Mays and children have moved into their, new home, 761 South Eleventh East street, and are now at home to their friends, J. A. Jennings, accompanied by his daughters. Miss Helen Jennings and MRS. JULIAN SIEGEL Miss Ruth Jennings, plan to leave early in January to make their home' in Los Angeles. Mrs. Hugh Thomas, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Noble Warrum, Jr., so- cial attention during her visit. Mrs. Ben Siegel entertained at tea for her as did Mrs. Solomon Siegel, and many other affairs are planned in her honor.
