In Don Kirkham, leader of L agoon Novelty Orchestra. According to Manager A. C. Christensen, Lagoon resort is offering bigger and better attractions this season than ever before. The dance pavilion d has been enlarged and the floor put in splendid condition. Mr. Christensen has again secured the services of Don Kirkham as leader of the Lagoon Novelty Orchestra and the latest novelty music will be featured, playing in Portland, San Francisco and Mr. Kirkham has spent the winier Oakland and returns to Lagoon this season with many new ideas. Dances are announced for every night except Sunday and a special vaudeville program has been arranged for those days. LAGOON IS THE CONEY ISLAND OF THE WEST Lagoon is one of the beautiful spots in Utah, as well as of the entire country. There is enough shade for all, no matter how large the crowd, large lawns and the beautiful flowers is one of the outstanding features and attractions. Lagoon has every conceivable amusement for both the young and old. There is a large dance hall, fresh water bathing at Waikiki beach, boating, carnival features of every variety, tennis courts, baseball grounds, sunken gardens, and refreshment and lunch and restaurant service. Lagoon is at the foot of the east mountain range and the cool breezes are ever blowing. It is indeed a pleasure to get away from the city hot streets and be able to enjoy the cool and invigorating breezes. There is fun for all at this resort and it has been appropriately named The Lagoon Coney Island of the West. is easily reached by train as well as by automobile, being located midway between this city and Ogden on the main paved highway. The admission per automobile is only 50 cents regardless of how many people are in the car, and there are splendid parking accommodations for the machines. The Bamberger Electric gives special service during the resort season and the trains stop at the main gates of the resort. The fare for the round trip is only 35 cents, including admission to the grounds. One visit to Lagoon makes a life-lon- g patron. The Childrens free playground is provided with slides, swings of various kinds, and numerous other In-terurb- fun-devic- es that youngsters love. Wading in a pool, at center only 18 inches deep, has proved to be one of the most popular diversions of the little folks. The large swimming pool is a favorite with the bathers. It is an outdoor pool, banked with cement and provided with diving apparatus. The water is drawn from a fresh water lake and warmed by the sun. It is changed completely - every . twenty-fou- r hours.
