The Citizen has not verified the amounts forth in this statement but publishes them as presented by a j. j- - the fact that much of the real estate is assessed for 'e than it will bring in the open' market dr listed with real estate Is, the figures herewith submitted will be of unusually great inter-t- o Because of the people in general. Our law provides for full value get assessment and if big business around the law and secure reductions that is business acumen, must be remembered that every dollar saved is a dollar earn-X- o one can blame the corporations. But in this transaction, it the assessments should also remember that the law o respector of persons and that all should be treated alike. The Citizen does not find fault with the amount of taxes paid he said corporations enumerated herewith. Low taxes upon means more business and an incentive to come here to blish business. Also low taxes upon homes is an incentive for y workingman to own his own home and to build or purchase and who make ie a J. cor-Jtio- ns tci rent. Several months ago William. Farr and Rex Aylctt, two murderous thugs, the equal of which have not yet been produced in this state, went on a robbing, plundering and murderous rampage, durbeauing which several people narrowly missed being killed, and a tiful young girl was shot in the back and later died from the effects of the assassins bullet. These villainous and depraved hyenas, not only shot this lovely innocent girl who had never done any one any harm, but committed several other crimes, any one of which in most states would have brought life imprisonment or death. Their one aim was to steal, plunder and holdup with vituperative threats of death in case of resistance. They had terrorized the inhabitants of the entire county, robbing where they could find and shooting at little or no provocation of resistence. Then comes the trial, then a verdict with mercy. The populace stands aghast and wonders what has happened. lo save the life of a viper and to sacrifice upon the altar one of our darling girls is shudders. surely an inconceivable balance at which every good citizen If we go along in this way, killing and murdering the good peaceful citizens, laying them away in the cemeteries; harboring and showing mercy to the criminals, the day is coming when all will be criminal. If weeds in a garden are not dug up, they destroy the garden. If the criminal is nursed in society, society will be destroyed. The money that is being spent in protecting criminals should be turned over to the innocent injured, and the criminal well, the less said about the inhuman brute the better.
